Kirby Super Star is AWESOME. Although, the levels are really long, and the minigames are kind of dumb. Definitely get Kirby Super Star. Kirby Dreamland 3 is also very impressive, but monotonous.

Level design is NOT BORING it makes you actually stop and appreciate the artwork of the game, and the variance is just astounding as well. Hell, you should see the sprite sheet for this game! Everyone loves that game so much (Myself included, mind you.) but there's only 3 kinds of level designs that repeat throughout.

Comparing older games with newer games was never a good idea. It was a marvelous game back then, period. Of course Kirby games like "The Crystal Shards", or "Epic Yarn" have more extras and gameplay elements and I like them because they're always fun to play. But I also love the old games (Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Master System/Mega Drive etc.... They're still real games and not interactive movies like "Heavy Rain" and all that.

Kirby's other abilities are slightly different, like holding enemies above you and inhaling underwater, plus limited air floating. It feels sorta like Kirby's previous outings but the experience feels comparably slower. Still, if you like the series I'd say at least try it, as it still holds up okay.

The presentation is "hand-drawn"-ish like Yoshi's Island, and the experience feels more genuine, yet very unique...darker too, in a way. I'd recommend it highly.

And the parasol isn't all useless. Okay it is, I was lying there, but I was able to go through 6 or 7 levels with it. It still has its perks nonetheless.
Maybe its because i had a week rental and rushed through the game, but I really felt like it forced a 3D adventure and forced new elements into the game, while keeping the same basic gameplay as 'Nightmare'. It just didn't work for me. This game is better.

In the Super Smash Brothers games Kirby's trophies say "he" when referring to "him". Also, in Kirby's Epic Yarn the narrator refers to Kirby as "he"

@Ixey5 Your so right. Kirby 64 feels like it was made for kindergartners. Kirby's adventure was way more challenging and entertaining, and the mini bosses didn't stand in the corner while you beat their asses to a pulp. Not only that but K64 had loose controls and unlike the pure 2D games, the actions felt awkward. Also, SMB 3 barely had more level design, And KA had way more unique mob enemies.

You get HomeBrew channel for your Wii which is a Hack Channel. Go Google HomeBrew Channel and you should be able to find how to get it.
You'll need a 1 giga byte SD card or rather I suggest you should more if you want more hacks. If your Wii's 4.2. There should be a Banner bomb so you can install the HB. My wii's at 4.1 so no Rockman 9 and 10 for me since if I update, my Homebrew would be gone. After you get your homebrew channel.You can play Dvds, ps1, n64, snes, nes, games and more.Brawl+

Since I didn't have the classic/new controller I couldn't get Kirby 64 so I go this game and it's amazing. I agree the graphics aren't great and some of the levels look sinular but I still found fun in the game.
I think they lost the plot with Kirby 64, the level designs were much more simplistic compared to its predecessor and the 3D perspective shifting was just annoying. Blinded by the flashy 3D graphics? Kirby's Adventure is one of my favourite games on the NES. It's very charming. Not very hard though as you say.
Mostly fair reasons for not liking the game. I didn't enjoy the NES version that much either. It felt acceptable on the old gameboy (which I loved back in the day), but I too couldn't get too into this one. Think it could have done without the gay blast since it isn't what I'd really call family friendly, but it's not nearly as bad as others have said. Cheers!

@Dragonyoshie32 The TV show isn't canon, but now that I think about it, you are right because in Kirby Super Star, Kirby is referred to as "he". But I still don't think that Kirby is homosexual, because it doesn't seem like an abstract pink blob would have sex. Although I am sure that just like with most other video games (especially Sonic), there are at least a few sick fans who like to draw dirty pictures of Kirby.

I like the remake of Kirby's Adventure, "Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland" for the Gameboy Advance. However a friend got me this for the Wii as a gift for my birthday and I still enjoyed it even though I played the remake first.

Uh... Dude, you do realize that a large majority consider Kirby 64 to be one of the weaker Kirby games? Most people would put it behind Adventure, Super Star, and Dreamland 3.

I also played Kirby 64 before Kirby's Adventure. But I find Kirby's Adventure 10 times better than Kirby 64.

@Ixey5 Your so right. Kirby 64 feels like it was made for kindergartners. Kirby's adventure was way more challenging and entertaining, and the mini bosses didn't stand in the corner while you beat their asses to a pulp. Not only that but K64 had loose controls and unlike the pure 2D games, the actions felt awkward. Also, SMB 3 barely had more level design, And KA had way more unique mob enemies.

This game is a classic to me, I spent my childhood playing the original mario games and Kirby's Adventure especially and I loved every minute of it, I honestly don't see anything wrong with Kirby's Adventure. Also, yay nostalgia!
Also there is nothing wrong with being gay, why would people use that as an insult? Tolerance is a nice thing you know.

You get HomeBrew channel for your Wii which is a Hack Channel. Go Google HomeBrew Channel and you should be able to find how to get it.
You'll need a 1 giga byte SD card or rather I suggest you should more if you want more hacks. If your Wii's 4.2. There should be a Banner bomb so you can install the HB. My wii's at 4.1 so no Rockman 9 and 10 for me since if I update, my Homebrew would be gone. After you get your homebrew channel.You can play Dvds, ps1, n64, snes, nes, games and more.Brawl+

Since I didn't have the classic/new controller I couldn't get Kirby 64 so I go this game and it's amazing. I agree the graphics aren't great and some of the levels look sinular but I still found fun in the game.

I think they lost the plot with Kirby 64, the level designs were much more simplistic compared to its predecessor and the 3D perspective shifting was just annoying. Blinded by the flashy 3D graphics? Kirby's Adventure is one of my favourite games on the NES. It's very charming. Not very hard though as you say.

Mostly fair reasons for not liking the game. I didn't enjoy the NES version that much either. It felt acceptable on the old gameboy (which I loved back in the day), but I too couldn't get too into this one. Think it could have done without the gay blast since it isn't what I'd really call family friendly, but it's not nearly as bad as others have said. Cheers!
