@CTastic1 You need some American History 101. Prohibition in the 1920s caused the most powerful and successful wave of organized crime in American History. Prohibition of Marijuana has done the same thing, except the Al Capones are outside our borders. If its legalized the problem will go away just like in the 1920s and 1930s. It will be possible to produce here. Mexico would stabilize. By the way land mines mostly cause dead children.
@arcticmint You know what happens when weed is legalized? The price, and quality of weed go way down, and it's worthless. People will then turn to illegal drugs. Are you suggesting to legalize cocaine? Then what after cocaine? Pine tar Heroin? then what? everything? Society would be reduced to a heap of people fucked up and killing each other.
@CTastic1 Holland legalized hard drugs including certain opium based drugs and they have less drug use then the U.S. The reason it is was legalized Holland was to stop the violence the illegal trade caused and it worked. Right now The U.S. consumes 60% of the worlds drugs. It is all based on demand. Legality has nothing to do with it.
@CTastic1 If the U.S. demand for drugs is not at the root of the problem then what is?In this case demand is the independent variable. When demand increases the supply will follow. Where is the flaw in this logic?
Janet Napolitao should find another way to get her drugs into the country.
