The biggest problem(s) I have with the more "economic" electric kits is

1) Their timing is off; especially with busy drumming, timing will get fucked up because of bad reaction from the electric pads

2) When there's too much stuff going on (busy drumming) it'll omit some small nuances

@Turk656 Agreed, but its better than nothing. My biggest problem with them is the lack of dynamic range, its either loud or quiet, no middle ground. Just means it takes some work to edit the mix.
