  • That was very informative. Thanks a bunch!

  • It's okay to not eat meat, but I hate people saying it's a marketing scheme...there's a reason humans adapted canines. We've been eating meat looooong before TVs, magazines, radios, etc..

  • DUDE LOOKS LIKE A YOUNG SCOOBY ! ! ! ! !. lol

  • This guy Yuri knows his shit..i have been workin out for 11 years and have hear people talkin as they know their shit..to do this in the gym, do that,,eat this and that but this is the first video i have seen where a person really knows what he is talkin..good stuff..but just a small suggestion you did mention that raw meat is not important which i agree to if you want to have a marathoner kind of physique but if you want to be built like an athlete or BB you need protein shakes and lean meat..

  • Look at this guy. Hes skinny as hell. Talking about more protein, means you are more acidic. You counteract that with Vegetables, especially Leafy greens, and drink tons of water. You can take greens supplements as well. He can run 10 miles im sure, but hes not strong, hes not explosive, doesn't seem to be agile, maybe flexible. This guy is too one sided. As far as healthy fats go, Avocados, Olive Oil, Eggs, Walnuts, Almonds etc. Coconut Butter? Be real. Yes i know its full of Medium Chain Tris.

  • @moebiggz He is thin because his body is balanced for his build based on how he eats. Your perspective of how "skinny" he is, is based upon the mainstream bodies.

  • what about free range meats?

  • The reason meat tastes good is, the plant-based components we use to flavor it. Eat a plain piece of chicken or beef, and it's cardboard. We are one of the few animals which have sweet taste receptors on the tips of our tongues; our metabolic cycle runs, primarily, on carbohydrates.

We have small mouths with small canines, flat molars and sliding jaws (meant for grinding). Obligatory carnivores (cats, etc.) have large mouths, large canines, pointed molars, and hinged jaws (meant for tearing).

  • You don't play hockey!!?!?

  • i'm really not convinced...

  • are you a vegan?

  • Taking extra protein keeps me more energetic than anything.

  • Don't listen to this.

Humans are evolving to get most of our calories from protein.

We are losing our 3rd molars.

Our appendix had the function of breaking down cellulose, which is the hard stuff in plants. It now has no functions because our ancestors CHOSE to get our calories from MEAT!

We are an aging species who is evolving to eat MORE MEAT!.

No, you aren't going to buck a million years of evolution.

We are meat eaters and evolving to eat more meat.

  • @sbacon92 here is a test for you, if humans are meat eaters do what you ancestors did, go to a forest run around naked catch something bunny/wild chicken and sink your teeth into it RAW, will you be comfortable with that can you stomach that? Or are we more comfortable picking apples and vegetables?

If you want to eat meat that's all gravy but don't tell us what we should do.

You probably would not eat meat if you weren't able to PICK it of a shelf in the supermarket.

  • @paweleve I am a meat eater but am lucky enough to not have to run through a forest naked to catch my food. We currently have the convenience to go down to our local farmer, meet the animals I would later consume, and pay or barter for the cow to be slaughtered and packaged. Our ancestors did what they had to do to survive. We have other choices and do not have to consume as much meat as they did and some of us do not need meat at all.

  • @sbacon92 You're right. We are also developing diabetes, cancer, and higher rates of obesity across all age groups. We should eat as much meat as we can to keep this trend going. Retard.

  • cute

  • Yea, what about FISH?

Nowadays I hear all types of different things.......I don't know what to believe anymore... o_O

  • psychotic stuff indeed.

  • i just take fast acting crbs before workout like gatorade and whey protien after

  • Also, the body does not need sugars whatsoever. One does not need simple sugars after a workout, but they do boost recovery if taken with... you guessed it... protein!

  • Whoa, there is NO evidence to prove such side effects arise from a high protein diet. Furthermore, anyone who is tearing down muscles from a workout will be wasting time doing so if he/she does not get enough protein to build it back.

Secondly, even the food pyramid people advocate getting at least 10% of calories from protein.

Lastly, a lack of protein is a large cause of obesity, not too much. Protein preserves and builds muscle mass, which makes for a much better looking physique.

  • so is it bad if i eat meat or chicken..? am only 16 i dont think i plan on turning into a health freak or somthn and giving up all foods but veggies and fruits...

but thanks this was helpful, am still gona eat meat lol but am gonna eat more coconut and other veggies oh and whats that stuff in the end of the video that u said was amazing sources of protein, 2 of the best sources ...thats what u said but is it a substance or like..veggies or fruits??

  • I'm considering going raw, so this information helped alot. Thanks!

  • wut! I need REAL meat!

  • so does your body oppose your intake when it comes to pH? cause i know egg whites are basic, while composed of only protein and water.

  • just because you can survive on 5% doesnt mean you should, obviously if your weight training you need more protien

  • What about people whose metabolism is naturally more alkaline?

You know that being too alkaline is not too good either.

    Greetings.

  • Very nice tutorial on the protein misconception.

  • good video

  • Jeff, must have good feet, I envy him! I have bad feet and can't walk for long. I might try a bike.
