@nighttrainjames First off, how old are you? second, bluegrasssingingman edited his comment. B/c i was right... we aruged other Paul Gilbert and Hendrix. Third you misinterpeted the conversasion, forth your igorance because you obviously went paying enough attention, and lastly HOW THE FUCK DID YOU COME UP WITH THAT? After re-reading my comment....b/c this was 3 weeks ago.....I noticed that I have a correct and truely definitive statement and question.
how do you get such a loud and clear harmonic sound, i can only produce harmonics on the 5,7,12,ect and never on anything else. do u need a specific string or bass in general?
@bigbassist321 harmonics away from the 5,7,12 are much more difficult to get. first of all they're not above the frets they're inbetween frets. next try using the bridge pickup or if you got a pickup fade put it center and then fade towards the bridge abit. next make sure your're plucking nice and close to the bridge with your right hand. that should help a bit ^^>
it's a pot that allows you to blend the signal from both of your pickups together. vic uses one some basses don't have that though. if you're got two volume pots just adjust it so that the bridge pickup if louder than the neck (don't completly cut the neck pickup off though.) check what each of your pots does. LEARN YOUR BASS ;P
thats lame...thats dailing tones.... nvr heard the term pick up fade...thought is was like a phaser with your pickups, adjesting the volume from high to low, the way a phaser ocsolates
I'm not sure if Vic is religious, as much as he is spiritual. From everything I've read/heard, he seems to believe more in the harmony of life and everything in it, including music.
But I couldn't agree more. Breath-takingly beautiful.
well im not completely sure if my memory serves me right. but yeah i think that he said in one of his instuctional videos taht he doesnt believe in one god. he believes that humans are gods. and that everyone has power to do what they want in life and some crap like that. hence that one video i found god. but yeah. im not 100% sure. i can be an idiot.
I think he believes in God but that is a terrible example. The lyrics in that song have nothing to do with one individual God. He says that there's a God in all of us.
I wish he wud teach this freaking song slowly
