what is striking is how for a man who is in his mid-twenties how much he acts and behaves like a teen.

@noursette29 IIRC, Shawn's father is in the textile business (?). Don't recall where I heard that. I could be wrong, but he is wealthy. Info about Shawn's life is all over the place, which he largely brought upon himself with his antics and his stupidity. Encyclopedia Dramatica had a long entry on him. @noursette29 I won't drop the docs, but his name had been around for a long time, soebody recognised the university campus where he did his evangelising and he showed off the view from his room and his yard with his new camera, There weren't many with that name even in the province so people used the on-line phone directory

and matched what they found with with google Earth. .

Later I found an exchange where he told The Amazing Atheist he was ashamed of his father for making that product

If VFX doesn't want people to contact where he's applying to so they aren't bombarded with e-mails about his skeleton closet, it would have been smarter to just make a video saying "I'm going on a trip for a while" and not say what for. Saying "I'm trying to get a job someplace, but it's a secret" will only give his detractors an initiative to find out where it is.

@GuineaPigDan Agreed. I hope someone figures out where he's headed (specifically, what ministry/job opportunity he is going to). It would be nice to bombard them, like you mentioned. But yeah, it's not like he had to go out of his way to make such a big deal about going out of town, (i don't recall a video like this before he went to Florida) unless of course this is another way to get attention and/or a boost in donations.
