Avocado Fruit Trees

There is this incredibly old avocado tree on 4th street in Long Beach.

Probably 60 feet high, and wide, or better. Puts out so much fruit,

the ground is covered with six inches or more of avocado mash,

during harvest months. People come from blocks around to collect it.

The young leaves of the avocado contains caffaine. My whole family drink it when we don't have coffee ..We have avocado trees in our property in the Philippines, They grow like wild there. Anyway, my parents boiled young leaves for like 15 mins put some of the boiled water in your coffee cup, put a lil sugar for those who drinks coffee with sugar, or drink just like as it is after boiling just like black coffee.

@AngelikavonDeutschla I dont think avocado trees will last the winter up there. We are growing one in ower house here in sothern arizona right on the arizona and utah borders but it will get to big and well need to take it out side and then sadly it will freez when fall comes.

@eileenBrain Im building one right now but it dont have to be glass it can be plastic and you need green house quality plastic other wise it wont last long.

@eileenBrain you can prune them so thay grow wide insted of tall and doing it that way often produses more avocatos. A lot of trees are that way

@xboxkrazzy i went to hawaii few years back, friend let them stay over at their home they own for free, and they had a big ass avodaco tree in the back, and man there were ALOT of them on the tree, it was like an endless supply of avodacos, at one every meal. im gona get one soon, a decent size one, takes like 20 years to grow into a big tree from the seed
