  • you are amazing! im soooo nervous to apply. my gpa is so bad but i am trying so hard now i just recently this past summer wanted to go to dental and i want to soooo badly. im graduating spring of 2013 so im in the process of starting everything. however studying for the DATs is not going well...im super super nervous, but i have never wanted anything this badly ever. how did you study for the DATs?

  • I'm in love with ur videos, they are so impressive. Thank you!

  • If somebody decided a few years after copleting a ba in psychology that they wanted to become a dentist Is it it possible? How can they get the required science courses? Do they have to take a bachelor of science degree? Thanks I love your videos

  • @brklrocks No just enroll in the prereq classes that you need to take, you don't need to get a whole new BS.

  • Can you explain how to study for the DATs and how far in advanced?

  • @keralina13 Hi, search my other videos for "Preparing for Dental School - Extracurriculars and DAT" That video explains a lot. If you want more questions please let me know.

  • What was ur GPA ? if I may ask

  • @hzyoni 3.45

  • im concerned about one thing. i havent read the other comment so plz excuse me if im asking this again. u said to apply to dental school 1 full year yearly. well that means you have to have you DAT tests already taken. but u need biology education to be succesful. but i ont be done with my biologly major by that point only half way done. would i just use wat i learned in pre-recs and class?

  • @PolishCutie93 Yes you have to have the DATs already taken, or your application won't be considered until you take them. As for undergrad, you don't have to be done at the time you apply, you just have to have your prereqs done by the time you apply, or in the process of taking them and will be done with them by the time you get accepted. It's better to have everything done before hand so that way you can use the knowledge of the DATs and then your application is more complete.

  • sigh... i thought the part that'd mess up was my letters of recommendation... turns out it was actually my transcripts. ugh.

  • thanks for the great and reassuring videos :)

if you don't mind me asking, what were your undergrad gpa and your dat scores? thanks!

  • when should you start studying for DATs? early junior year? also, when should you take the DAT? as soon as you are done with your prerequisites?this leads me to my last question lol, when should you be done with you pre-requisites?

    thanxs soo much

  • awesome, thank you! this was really encouraging! bravo :)

  • awesome, thank you! this was really encouraging! bravo :)

  • Im in the process of thinking about applying this year for dental school, but I need to retake my DAT, this was very helpful to hear and it made my motivation go up! thanks! and if you don't mind, what did u get on your DAT since you said you didn't study so hard...well u got into dental school so it should be good enough.

  • GREAT VIDEO! Thanks a lot, very inspiring. I think i can!

  • Hi Ling! You're such an inspiration! I'm currently taking my pre-reqs to get into a Dental Hygiene program in my city. I've been considering going to school all the way. I'm a bit intimidated though because the amount of years it will take and how hard it will be. I have Microbiology left and I can apply. I find myself questioning "am I smart enough for dental school?" and a few professors of mine have said I should go. Also, how can you afford it? I really want to go to UOP or UCSF. :)

  • I love your videos, they are very informative. I am a sophomore in college now so Ill be applying pretty soon, and Im going to start studying for the DAT now. Are the books expensive?

  • Student doctor network is a great resource as well. The forums have everything you need to know.

  • I love your positive attitude girlie! You inspire me so much! I hope you know that through these videos you are helping so many people! <33 Truly thankful!

  • hey i love your videos! do you have one about transitioning into dschool? like the first week/month and how it felt and how you met people and adjusted to your classes and stuff? :) keep making these videos and nice treee! <3

  • @lullabysea Thanks so much :) Well, if you check out my first couple of videos, it's about me just moving here. But in the future I might make a video about adjusting. Thanks for the great idea. :)
