Best all around bass is Tim Riley. He goes as low as he needs 2 and has the most clear voice. But as George younce once said dnt try and sing low like someone else but sing at your own tone and sing the bass part. U dnt have 2 go low 2 b a bass singer although I can
I can promise you this is the real deal - I was standing just to the right of the person shooting the video - November 29, 2007 at the Centrum Arena n the Southern Utah University campus.
Yes, the wave is at me/my camera. I was at the concert cowriting an article on the concert for a newspaper. I got to meet them before the concert and like any idiot fan would do, told them how I grew up listening to their music, that I was a big fan, etc., so during the concert they'd wave at me, pose for pictures, and they even gave me a candycane after the show, ha!
That's William Lee Golden He join the Oak Ridge Boys in 1965. Duane Allen is the other guy (to left of William)Join in 1966. Richard Sterban join in 1972 and Joe Bosnall join the following year in 1973
He told an Arizona newspaper in 2003 that he felt that he was losing his youth. At first, he grew the goatee, which was full. Next, at the suggestion of his wife, he let his hair grow long. For the record, I don't like the look either, but still love the bass voice.
I met the Boys this past fall in Branson, so I got to see him up close. Honestly he just looks like an old guy w/ long hair, lol. He can still rattle the room w/ his voice though. Really nice guy in person, just shy but talk baseball w/ him and that'll break the ice (same w/ Joe).
But, boy, what happened to Richard Sterban?? He used to be so clean cut, always dressed nice, now look at him - long hair, goatee...not the Sterban I remember at all!

I agree on Richards look.
He is just way too good looking to cover up w/the long hair.
Still can rock the room though.

Agreed - say, am I crazy, or did Sterban (in his younger days) resemble Drake Hogestyn from "Days of Our Lives"?
knightryderrwn 4 years ago 2
I think he did. I don't know for sure.
OaksFan1981 4 years ago
I personally think he looks great.
