I have never formally met Mr. Vaughan-Lee but I consider him one of my teachers, and a key one at that. His taped lecture series "Love Is A Fire And I Am Wood" was and is like a very strong thread that keeps me attached to the Tradition.
I'm reading a self-analysis book with the further intention of individuating, saving a lot of money in comparison to choosing the therapist-subject scenario.
i remember seeing him in the movie One. Llewellyn Vaughn-Lee and Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev made the most sense to me. I've met Sadhguru but not Vaughn-Lee. I hope I get the chance sometime.
One might be fortunate enough in receiving an excellent scientific education, having good friends, family, hobbies, sports... life. Then one day somebody meets Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee and instantly understands that nothing matters as much as the desire for Truth.
I was lucky enough to sit with Mrs Tweedie many times in London. And Llewellyn. This is a beautiful and yes, very difficult path. But what could be more important than doing this work?
One has to become part of the Maarifah to understand and also to experience what you are talking about, but to come tot Maarifah is not easy, it takes everything from one's life.
Espacialy Sufism and some of your books have rescued my life because I was getting more and more questions without any possible answers, but your books opened my eyes and also my Heart to Allah The Beloved and The Lover. Thank you very very much!
I love you very much, I've read many books of you, also the book of Irina Tweedie about her Sufi journey with Bhai Sahib [may the Love of Allah be in his lovely Heart].
As you can see here are some very dumb posts, but I think this is because people do not have the experience as you have, so they are talking about it from the perspective of Science and not Maarifah...
This explains the fanatic fringe of Islam... People who have taken on the spiritual role and yet havent rid themselves of the darker aspects of their souls. This literaly does destroy.
