  • black out .......................

  • Man, I just read the whole thread...

Wrk, you are a fool, chewing gum is recommended.

Negative G? Yes, occurs when you do an outside loop; eg flying along, half-roll to inverted and then do a loop that sees then plane initially go up. And yes all the blood rushes to your head. Watch a thousand vids and you will never see a military jet pull neg G. Aerobatic pilots will do outside snap rolls or loops. But very gently compared to inside loops or snaps. To keep the blood pressure in their head

  • Training to avoid G-lock.

First, be pretty fit period, that guy had too many burgers!!!

G-lock - as you know - occurred I'm that vid, about 6 - 8. Not that high!! When all the blood left his brain, you come out of G-lock reasonably quickly; there are always exceptions I guess.

The additional training is a combination strength work (anaerobic ) not extra cardio and technique. You hear the pilot say " take a deep breath and flex your legs". Full technique is you take that deep breath and flex

  • how do they train the pilots to tolerate those G's?

  • holy shit look at all the blood drain from his face he turns literaly grey

  • thats what u called G-FORCE

  • That gum probably weighed like 6 pounds!

Where they pulling the full 9.5G the Hornet can handle?

  • omg that was funny!!!

  • Awesome! I was worried at his first time, but I can't stop laughing after the third time! Great job posting this! Fly Safe!

  • Lovely Man ! Many Thanks

  • Haha holy! You can watch him go white everytime! lol this is fun to watch.

  • ok, you americans are stupid ... you enter a plane KNOWING you will pass out .... and you STILL need to be chewing gum ??? that little gum is misswallowed you might die .....

  • @wrk999 dude obviously this guy is taking a ride. IN america you can pay for rides in fighter jets that have been retired or are active just not in use.

  • @wrk999 you should try it you flaming out idiot..:Pi did it..though im canadian and i was passed out for 1 hour

  • yea i know, but i suppose that if u went fast enough u would pass out, and pulling simple manouvers at extreme speeds will increase your chances ou blacking out... by the way,do you know what a red out is?

    Josh

  • @J0SHF22 josh a red out practicly means your blood vessels in your eyes fill with blood because of the blood rushing to your head it has no where to go and may cause death and or blindness...

  • 0:20 - 0:30

    zombie face!

  • Pussy!!!!!! 9.7Gs

  • looks like they're in Blue Angel's #7 F/a-18B

  • Well I heard that fighter pilots get a laugh out of their guests passing out. They want u to pass out, they think its funny. And I do too!

  • man i wanna be a fighter pilot, im not too keen on heights and i never thought of passing out cos of speed. great, now i have a whole new problem to worry about.

  • Lol,likewise

  • you don't pass out because of speed, but of G-forces. If you pull a tight turn like these performance jets, high g's occur. In normal flight, you probably won't pass out.

  • yeah, nvm on the airforce.

  • The pilot is totally fucking with the guy. He begins power breathing knowing full well the guy in the back is toast. *rofl*

  • LOL i fucking love this video... it looks like his face is melting off

  • bet he has a hell of a headache after all that

  • What they dont teacy you is the breathing and body clenching technique used by pilots in hi g's to prevent from passing out.

You can hear the pilot using the techinque.

  • Is he crazy?

He was eating buble gun, he could have died

  • He's pretty stupid for chewing gum while pulling G's, lucky he didn't choke to death.

  • @Sean8654 accualy your wrong chewing gum for a beginer is a good thing to do it helps them stay concious for a bit longer it helps blood flow... all beginers are highly recomended to chew gum until they learn how to "grunt" properly.

  • hahahahahaha oh man haha thats fuckin great i love that face he looks like hes blowing a big load hahahahaha

  • hahaha he makes the same face everytime

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "you're back with me Steve"

  • Looks like DEATH!

  • G LOCK

  • dude the color washes out of his face as the blood rushes to his legs...wow. he looks dead right after he loses it

  • OH MAN! Wait till us Flight Simulator junkies start flying un-manned fighters for the military against poor countries who will still have "pilot-only" air forces. One good 360 deg. turn and your on his 6 in a spit second. It will be a mess!

  • jeez..He was only doing 450 knots. That's (I believe) is crusing speed. I guess it doesn't really take much to G-Lock. I figure it's more how LONG you can withstand high G's than if you can. 1/2 way through the turn he was OUT! Fighter pilots are 1/2 man, 1/2 amazing!

  • lol, his face! Hilarious, I want! I want! :)

  • Its called G LOCK

  • It's like pay money to be tortured.

  • oh lawd

  • thats not a pilot stupid fuck...

  • He was a reporter....

  • You actually believed the guy who passed out was the one flying the plane?

  • I didnt know one man could have so many facial veins lol

  • hahahaha why is he chewing gum???? and he cant do the "hook" teqniqe at all. he passes out the same way everytime

  • i bet that gum felt like 50 lbs in his mouth. haha

  • might have been chewing to help with airsickness. Mint chewing gum helps as well as ginger.

  • lol :D:D

  • Yo he had the Total Recall Face...LOL

  • awesome video

  • HAHA Look at his eyes at 33 sec. He's out!

  • lol his expression is priceless, "you're back .. you're back now steve".

  • HAHAHA

  • What a silly chump - chewing away on gum while he passes out 3 times in 2 minutes.

  • How many G's can the F-18 pull?

  • 9 im' guessing?

  • That was great! man I wish I could do that

  • retard. ANY jet fighter/attacker/jammer/multirole will make you pass out.

  • you might want to rethink that comment...

  • Why is that?

  • cause not everyone passes out on a any fighter aircrafts...which makes it a false statement.

  • I was refering to the average human...

  • yes everyone can pass out in any fighter jet. get the right number of g's and you're out

  • somebody who doesn't take G's everyday of there life...the pilot didn't pass out, Dale Jr didn't pass out...which makes "F18 will make you PassOut" a false statement.

  • LOL! i wish i could fly like that

  • How many g's was that cuz it looked like 10

  • This is the greatest video of all time. I am so envious of this guy . Must have been a great ride pulling 9 G's .

  • Great idea to chew gum in an F18 and pass out. Really clever... Good vid though

  • basically when you do a nosedive you'll pull negative gs and send blood to your brain and when turning upwards then you'll pull gs because the blood runs from your brain and you simply pass out.

  • LOL.... "wow.. that was a long one" amazing aircraft man...

  • Depends on the axis of current travel. Most detrimental to a pilot are Gs in the z-axis (if the axis "arrow" is pointing down, at the top of your head "pulling" blood to your legs). These heightened Gs create the condition where the heart is unable to overcome the G-force and deliver blood to the brain. With the lack of blood/oxygen to your brain you experience "blackout" or unconsciousness.

  • @cribster123 is a negative G means that the blood is pressed by centrifical force in to the head insted of to the leggs? and if so aint that much more dangers?

  • whoa...do the gs work towards the front of ur body or is it like gravitational effect

  • Its a gravitional effect...watch the "Pull some Gs" I have also upload in my videos! Kind of explains it a bit more.

  • does it push down on you? or towards ur body and into ur seat?

  • It can in all directions. depends on the path of the flight. When it pushes down on you thats + Gs (takes blood away from your brain--black out) and it when it pulls on you thats - Gs (takes blood to your head--Red out)

  • correction I meant the Path of travel..

  • Don't be ridiculous... Its not in all directions... -.- lolx the force is always acting towards the centre of the earth from the centre of gravity of your body.. oh please.. your words are saddening..

  • Ok fine.. LOL.. you come up with a name for those forces that acts on the X & Z axis..(the type that you get when you accel and stop your car) :)

  • I Love this Aircraft!
