As for Scotie - well what can I say absolute belter of a vid and a loco, cannot wait til she on mainline again COMEON SCOTIE

    Streamham.

  • Wow what a fantastic video! Thank you so She is a fantastic Engine.

It must be so exhilirating to drive her too.

  • exellent video

  • Great engine. I loved the shots of the stations too. well done.

  • she truly is magnificent!!

  • Fantastic Video, Great Loco, anyone know when she will be steamed again after her overhaul?

  • Great video of a brilliant steam engine. When was this filmed? because i went from York to Scarborough on the Flying Scotsman in 2004 and it was great.

  • This was filmed in 2004, not long after the loco was purchased for the nation. On this particular day, 'Prince William' was providing purely logistical support as 'Scotsman performed flawlessly, though it had failed the day before and several times during that season.

  • i was on that

and 56302 pulled the Flying Scotsman into york as it had an boilar problem

so thats why the 47 was there

  • That told me that the train was being propelled at approx 3mph, which is what Network Rail stipiulate.

I have been the guard on this run with "Green Arrow. " many tims.

  • i was on that trip and it was mint especially with price wiliam

  • price wiliam?lol

Did you know that The DUKE will be standing in for FS this summer.

  • where did you hear that? Any idea when the services will start up again?

  • NEARLY CRYING

  • Do you know, I have that effect on the wife. Lol

    Hugh

  • I'm not a great diesel fan but what about that fantastic sound of the '66 pulling away in York station?

  • JimTLonW6, did you notice how the little boy had the intelligence to run behind the camera and emerge beyond still keeping pace with 'Scotsman' Wonderful.

  • Just like to say I thought this was a great video, what really made it outstanding was the little boy at Scarborough running along with the Flying Scotsman. I hope he enjoyed seeing the engine as much as I enjoyed your video!
