Isnt this set one year after Shadiw Moses? Cus Viper said the outer heaven incident was seven years ago, in MGS it was 6 years back. And Snake first met Mei Ling on Shadow Moses, but he knows her on this one. Just a thought.

First of all, Kojima himself has confirmed that Ghost Babel/MGS GB, is a side story that is not part of the MGS canon.

Look it up on the internet, many sites will confirm up, and it is not some plot made up against you.

Second, don't act so immature when people disagree with you and give evidence that contradicts something you thought was the case.

Ah, of course! Every single character just forgot about the events of this game afterwards, Snake was able to meet Mei Ling for the first time again in MGS, and Chris just ceased to exist.

Seriously, it's not canon. Do a Google search for "Ghost babel canon" if you still don't believe me... It's set after MG1 and MG2, but in an alternate universe from all the MGS games - that's why nothing that happens in it is ever referenced again.

Basically, it's an alternate sequel to Metal Gear (even borrowing the name Galuade from MG2)... Nothing that happens in it affects the main series.

not to burst your bubble, but it's true. The gameboy version of the game is a gaiden, a side story. It's supposed to take place after the very FIRST Metal Gear for Nintendo. And supposedly, in this storyline, Metal Gear 2 for SNES never happened, and this event occurred in its place, or something.

Its more like this.

MG2 never came out in the US. So there were two games (in NA) that came out (at the time) to take its place. Snake's Revenge and Ghost Babel. Snake's Revenge is not canon in anyway as it does not mention past events except for the TX-55s destruction.

Ghost Babel however fills as a more "official" (IMO) of a NA Metal Gear 2. As it mentions the events of the original title AND builds on it with a moment (the 'General' convo) that still makes snake leave FOXHOUND.

@cybersiren7 this non canon game plays after Metal Gear 1 in which he destroys the Metal Gear TX-55 before it's operational you can find the wreck before your first battle with Viper. The you meant is Metal Gear D from Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake.
