i think that if in future people willnot die from global warming then eventially people will get smarter and calculus is going to be an ineresting thig for people to know about
High schooler here. Took my math b/ precalc regents. Got a 90. =) lol. Highest score in my school. Going to take AP calc next year. So excited, going to get a 5 on the test. Math rocks!!!!
Yes, many other mathematicians developed some of the ideas of Calculus, but is widely accepted that the form of Calculus that we recognize today can be primarily attributed to both Newton and Leibnez.. They essentially 'finished' the race to the Calculus. Check 'Project Mathematics: History of Mathematics' from Cal-Tech

is calculus hard?

also NEWTON did not make or formed the basic ideas of CALCULUS
Calculus is the result of AL KAWARIZMI AL HAZEN ARCHIMEDES GALILEO and the contributions of many many other mathematitans before him.
THE USA anglo culture has try to give credit to this NEWTON for ever
i get sick and disggusted by this!
WAY TO WAY WAY WAY WAY to much credict is given to NEWTON
but there is a saying,
EVERY ONE PRAYS TO THERE FAVORITE SAINT!
every one's say's that there kid is the smartest!
