@Swiftbollocks if im not way off, the pedal holds the current tones that your playing allowing you to take new tones while still holding the old ones.. which makes it sound more fluently ..? im not sure though.

@Talim2004 Scales and technique, they are absolutely essential because they are the foundation of playing piano. You gotta do those exercises daily to build finger strength and coordination.
