  • good old 240p

  • another fucking calculator video muther.......

  • Recorded with a potato

  • I have 2 Bala sharks in my 400 litre tank, I have had them for 7 years one is approx 7 inches long and the other about 8, they mix well with the other fish, never had any problems with them.

  • how old is ur bala shark? Mine is already 1 year old but only measures 7cm

  • hey can you please spend the time and help my vid out ww.youtube.com/watch?v=cR40mGzrwVY its my first tank and i am really proud of it

  • bala sharks have to be the most troublesome fish either that or all of mine are schizophrenic . every time i walk passed the tank they tear it up and try to jump out they're the biggest fish in the tank and when i turn the lights out they go ape shit and they are the only ones the rest of the fish look at them like "what the fuck is your problem" avoid these fish or you will replant weekly and buy new thermometers monthly... sonbitches

  • @fawkUtube lol well what did you do to set them off ? Mine are very clam and come right up to me. You must be walking past the tank like some freaken psycho and they pick up on that shit lol Calm movements create trust my little psycho fiend, calm like water.

  • 17G is small for these..i see its in a 50G now but that wouldnt last long itll need 125G's

  • is that just a normal bala shark? just like the ones you can buy at the pet sore? that are like 3 inces long?

  • @TheMonkeyGlue Bala sharks can get over a foot just to let you know

  • beautiful shark!

  • i think the end size tank for adult sharks should be about 150 plus gal thay will get to 11-12 inches in size and need to be in gropes of at least 3

  • huge bala should probaly get a bigger tank

  • ow long it take for it to get that size?

  • how much are they?

  • what us a good size tank for one bala?

  • @geckosandreps1 get at least 2... they are social fish. they will grow as big as ur tank and food lets them.

  • @geckosandreps1 get at least 2... they are social fish. they will grow as big as ur tank and food lets them. feed every other day and they will stay abt the same size. get at least a 10-15 gal tank and filter it for 15-20 gal.

  • I do love Balas, i have a few of them and they are very interesting to watch

  • i have 2 baby balas

  • wat is imo????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bala sharks are bullshit

  • Its weird ive got a bala and he;s like 2inch at the minute but ive hear of people having them for 2 years from being infantile and growing to 10 inches in that 2 years, others having some for 8 years and getting to 10 inches i think it all depends on its food water quality etc etc.

  • @xDANx24x feeding schedule... i have 2 for 2 years and they r 7 inches. i feed then every other day and they have been 7 inches for a year or so. they will eat 2 times a day, but they might get sic from eating so much. and ur tank will get dirty really fast!

  • damn nice!

tank though should be minimum 65g and minimum 75g if you plan on keeping them for full maturity, can grow up to 14inches with proper care and space

  • it's also good to keep a couple of them like 4-5

they are quite entertaining to watch and they can be fast

  • i got 2 of these.... And they are boring as hell!!!

  • how long did it take for them to get that big? i need to no i have three of them in my 20gal

  • @styles895 i have 2 and 1 catfish i just got them today and waiting for the water to heat up so there not in the tank yet so how fast do they grow? i didnt know they grow that big that fast

  • @jetmea i have too mailes and one femail

  • @styles895 how do u tell?? o yeah and my fish are in a 10 gallon... so it wont be there for long, i didnt know they grow that big XD the shop said in the tank $40 for 2 adult sharks and there only 2 inches XD also i got mine they said baby thats almost the same size for half price!! CRAZY but the catfish cost $50 each thats retarted what if the fish dies??i cant get a refond

  • @jetmea the femail is bigger then the mail how big are the catfish cuz $50 is a lot for a catfish

  • @styles895 i dunno about 4-5 inches. its a pictus catfish so i dont think its very rare..

  • @jetmea o cool

  • how old is the bala????

  • @Dsniper34 My balas were three years old. I just gave them away because I am moving from Japan back to the USA.

  • wat do you fweed them?

  • Cant stand these fish. My friend has a couple of rather large ones in a 55 gallon tank. All they do is slam into the tank sides when you walk up to look at them. Not fish for me. I'll keep my puffers.

  • @JoseDepacos that is because bala sharks need more than a 55 gallon tank. They need close to 100.

  • @HYNKZL yep if i knew that earlier that would be GREAT becousse im stuck with 2 babiess in my 10 gallon XD

  • Bala sharks aren't creepy, the smaller ones are cute.

  • i think bala sharks are ugly and creepy for some reason

  • No, they are beautiful and fascinating fish IMO, probably the coolest cyprinids.

  • how much are bala sharks

  • around $6 in your local Petsmart or Petco it maters by the size and type.

  • @crashnburnxvx Bala sharks are pretty cheap.

  • How much work do you have to put into keeping a tank clean and feeding your fishes approx? This question is really wide and hard to answer I guess, but I don't know anything about fish or tanks or anything like that. And I'm not talking an extremely large tank with loads of stuff in it, just like, average.

  • larger tanks can actually be easier to maintain, they tend to be more stable. You are better of looking on a naquarium site, but basically partial water canges 10-25% every two weeks, but that is basic guidlime depends on what fish you keep, filtration you have. I have a 220 US gallon aquarium(see my link if you want) takes me couple hours a week, but that is not me constantly at the tank, but water siphoning and re-filling.

  • @CollusionOfChains I try to do a partial water change each week. usuall between 1/4 to 1/3 of the water in the tank.

  • @HYNKZL thats too much water bud! 20% water change including what u lose with evaporation. so 10 gal every 7-10 days. any more than that and u wont get the right levels of bacteria to balance the pH naturally. i got a 56gal with 2 balas and they have been in there for 2 years. just lost one today actually, when he got hung up on an ornamental log. they also LOVE the frozen shrimp cubes!!! as for the twitching... ur watter is too cold. 80-90 is ideal. mine is 86 and they dont twitch at all.

  • @CollusionOfChains I would say it is very easy to take care of your fish tank. If it is a tank with a filter i would say clean it every 2-3 months. If its just a bowl you should clean it every three weeks. Also you have to feed your fish every two to three days.

  • do bala's eat meat?

  • they can eat smaller fish and if they get bigger they will eat frozen worms if u give to them

  • @trickedyfz450 they love blood worms. bala sharks will eat anything that can fit in there mouth. they were eating the hair algae off of my decorations when it got a little long.

  • not true for any fish

  • I have 3 Balas in an 8ftx2ftx2ft aquarium along with densioni barbs and numerous rainbowfish, prolly ok for full grown adults.

Btw the 1" /gallon generalisation is only a guide that works for fish that grow to about 3-4"

Beyond that size the correlation of fish length to gallons does not work.

  • if u get a small silver shark in a small tank will it stay small or outgrow the tank

  • That tank is quite small imo and the shark is not staying small, so there is your answer. :)

  • @kumarsa108 bala sharks will outgrow the tank. i had to go from a 10 to a 50 when they were getting too big.

  • @HYNKZL yup and eventually to at least a 250g for these guys. :)

i think i was replying to someone asking if the fish grew to tank size or not, Basically i was saying no.

I think though did you not move from Japan or somthing...cant remeber maybe mixing up with someone else.

  • @sk84mony yes

  • Everyone has their own opinion on how they should keep their fish. So shut up about it.

  • i have a baby growing in my 15 gallon tank, soon enough im sure he will have to leave it tho soon, i dont want it eating my guppies lol

  • 55 gallon tank is good for one bala shark

  • not true. allow 1" fish for each gallon of your tank. i dont beleive that these will get 55" long..

  • that 1" of fish for gallon is bull shit. not true for larger fish,

  • im buying sharks this weeking.. but i want sharks that breed fast. any suggestions?

  • I was looking at getting some bala sharks maybe a oscur but I only have 20 galon tank, I am guessing that would be to small? What type of tropical fish could I get that would fit into a 20 gallon tank?

  • mollies, corydoras, betta, swordfish, algae eater, an angelfish or two.

  • balla shark would outgrow your tank FAST you can get red tail shark/rainbow shark (not both only 1) i like red tails, theyr badass, pleco corydoras neons cardinals alot of different things!

  • will red tails eat all my other fish? like angle fish/pleco and some others?

  • the general rule is every gallon equals 1 inch of fish so you could probably house 20 inches of fish but take into account the size they will become.

  • @sotik

naw 20 is to small for a shark fish u should try like ngel fish or even bettas shark fish get really big my bro has some he had to put it in a bigger tank but u can buy some as babies and sell them back when they get older its all on you bro

  • fish can swim backwards these days?

  • yes they can. It's like when your paddling a canoe. They just move their fins the opposite way. Sharks as far as i know in the ocean only go forward.

  • I had one bala before when i was really young it died a few days after

  • What happened too your bala? Did you put the bag in the water properly to get the water in the bag the same temp as your tank? Did you put half of your tank water in the bag also to get him used to your tank?

  • Dude, I have a 10 galllon aquarium and on the nearest petstore they have Balas for about 1.5 inch, do you think I can get 2 or 3 in my tank?

  • you'll only be able to keep them in that 10 gallon for so long.

they grow fast and they grow big.

  • I dunno I have a bala shark for almost 3 years now and the things a tiny bitch hes only gotten to maybe 4 inches at most so it really depends on the stock you get my one guy is in a 20 gallon tank by himself and could handle two more of his own size easily but if it gets big like this guys bala i don't think that would be good at all

  • balas will be dwarfed if they don't have a big tank. They will also die younger do to the stress

  • I just bought a 55 gallon for the bala and am getting him some tank mates cause you could see hes starting to get stressed he used to be calm but now runs back and forth saying i need more room. So he's getting his new home in few days

  • No don't do that they will grw to big for tha tank I have one its 12in I got it at 1.5in too.

  • they get 18 inches

  • i wouldnt because they need lots of space to live long and grow bigger :)

  • like only balas? I guess 3 in a 20 gallon would be ok till they hit 8'' but I would get a commuity tank with 4 balas other fish about 55 gallons. because they are schooling fish

  • already done! moved them a while back. The three of them are in a 50 Gallon tank. Look at my other bala shark vids.

  • would 2 babys in a 15 us gallon beokay?

  • Yeah but don't have 3 if you get bigger tank skip to 4

  • NO stupid people....

they need a 150 gallon min. and school in at least 3s. these fish are suffering becuz theyr in a much to small tank.

  • i have 2 of those they grow to a foot

  • Would a Bala Shark be suitable for a 165litre tank?

  • are balas freshwater? ANd how big of a tank would i need for 3 balas and a turtle?(red eared slider)

  • bala sharks are freshwater fish. plus they need something like a 100 gallon tank. bala sharks can get between 12 and 14 inches long. they can dart long distances at once therefore the tank has to be long.

  • i have a small 19 gallon tank with 10 tiger barb 1 guppie use to be 5 barbs at them at a bala shark and it swims very aquidly and faces down why please help

  • get a bigger tank

  • sorry is i missed up i have 10 tb 1 bala shark and a guppie

do is still need a bigger tank

  • yea lol, you want at least 5 gallons per fish for them to be fully comfortable in their environment

  • i agree. I have also heard 2 gallons per inch of fish. plus it depends on the fish.

  • you might get away with a 50 gallon tank for one bala shark. make sure it's long. anymore balas and you need a huge tank like a 100 gallon. these fish will dart and hit the side of the tank which might make them go belly up.

I have a 50 gallon tank for three and i know i am pushing it. i want a 100 gallon tank.

  • what does a bala sharks egg look like?

  • See my reply on my video Bala Shark #3.

  • this is nothing about this comment but when you bala shark gets bigger(about 15 in.) what will you do wiht it? won't it bee too big to keep as a pet? or are you gonna let it go in a freshwater lake, river, etc.

    please reply

    im thinking of getting one

  • see my bala shark #4 video. They are in a 50 gallon tank now. Yet in a year I will be leaving japan so i have to give my balas and other fish up for adoption. I will get some more balas when I go back to the USA.

  • balas don't get that big. about 8" max

  • mine is 8" and it is not even a year old... I saw one at the fish store that was bigger than a salmon at least 18" and about 10 inches tall (without the fins)

  • Not really a 'shark'

  • True the only reason they are called sharks is because they have the same body style as one. Yet every name that they are named ends with shark. eg...silver shark, minnow shark, tri-color shark, and finally bala shark. Read up on them.

  • Those fish are now in my 50 Gallon tank. As long as you don't put too many decorations in the tank they will be fine. Get a bunch of corys for the bottom of your tank. When they start to lay eggs the bala sharks will make popping noises with there mouths as they eat the eggs off the side of the tank.

Plus corys are cool too watch with in a school.

  • bala sharks are really cool, i onl have one In my 30 gal (us) planning on getting a 5 foot tank for him and my pleco.

  • would it be ok to put two bala sharks into a 55 gallon tank?

  • dvdisconnected i think it would be ok because right now i have heard they only get about 10 inches long and i have 2 in my 46 gal

  • Lovely!

I made the mistake of taking all the water out of the tank with my 3 balas in it last week D8

6 inches long at 2 1/2 years old! learned my lesson now wont let my new babies end up like that.

  • WHat fish can live with bala sharks.

  • I have corydoras, 1 red tailed shark, 1 sailfin pleco, and an angelfish in with my balas.

  • any community fish that arent small enough to fit in their mouths.

  • will a bala shark eat a goldfish thts 2 times smaller than it or smaller?

  • That Fish is Bad ass

  • Thanks! He's a little bigger now. Look at my Bala Shark #3 video with my bigger tank.
