bipolar is when you have split prsonalty you could be laughing with somebody then the next minute try to kill you.

uhh no, Bipolar is when you have manic episodes (highs) and Depressive episodes(lows). They can happen randomly, can be seasonal, or it could be one week high one week low and so on. The highs can be extreme for one person and not nearly as bad for another, same for lows. You need to read into it before you jump to conclusions about people with Bipolar disorder.

But there are also 'normal' phases. And in a way I guess you could say it's like a split personality because you think really differently depending on what phase you are in. There are also different types of bipolar disorder. Bipolar I and Bipolar II (in which you have 'hypomania' instead of mania), Cyclothimia etc.

Well I seem to be closer to a Bipolar II but the diagnosis isn't complete... A good doctor will take months if not years to properly identify Bipolar Disorder and then the type.
