@alamahao@alamahao I agree with you that Frazettas talent is significantly larger than mine and during his life he also put more effort into his art than I have yet had the time to make.
Of course I realize you think my rendering ugly. I'm not here to contradict you. I'm here to improve. If you have pointers for me I'd be glad to take them. For one thing, I will redo this painting again, perhaps I should do that every month in order to gain some deeper understanding.
@alamahao I will keep looking at what he made and see if something of his greatness can be savoured. I am sure that Frazetta himself looked at the work of artists that made his heart pound, that Falanga showed him things to broaden his horizons.
I am now attending an education in illustrating here in Sweden. I have never focused on art or storytelling before, only on medicine and being a mother. I can only hope I'll live long enough to achieve something Frazetta would've nodded approvingly at.
@Beomene nonononono, u dont understand me :P you are grait, i've forgot some compliments dude, i envy you, i love draw, colored pencil and watercolor....i think that i can draw, i call my self "artist of the poor" but u can paint in digital techniques.
@X0RX1 Thank you. Yes, Frazetta was famous around the (illustrating?)world, just google him and you'll find tons of breathtaking artwork.
I draw with Corel XI and I love it! I gave it a try as it was recommended by Todd Lockwood. I actually think it is far better than Photoshop (not that I've evaluated CS5 yet, but, anyhooo). And the commercial license is not as expensive either, which is important to an amateur like me. :)
@X0RX1 I draw in both Photoshop and Corel Painter XI. I had forgotten which one I used in this but it's possible to tell on the brush menu - It's Painter. :)
Good thing I was reminded. Painter has some really nice "natural" brushes in it that I can't seem to reproduce in CS5.
@thoostorm4 Not sure if you checked, but I made that comment at least 1 year ago. By that day I soon found out who Frazetta really was and why his work was so familiar to me. Peace.
Nicely done.
RIP Frank.
