Try Conchita Supervia, a legend in the opera world, if you want to hear an ideal Carmen. The 'dead child' comment was funny. For me this was a successful crossover because her temperment made it believable. The folk version bit was awesome-wish she sang it all the way through.

P.S. - Slavi in black looks 99% MUTRA! (not 100% due to the lack of a 1 inch forehead)
