  • My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325i weekends. 325i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half hour. HP increase on the 325i is about 9.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $19 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:

    E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain

    E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain

    E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain

    E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain

    Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain

  • Spring rate seemed WAY to soft, E30's are tail happy as it is, add the bouncing from hard shifting, and it would be hard not to loose the rear end.....

  • It was a driveshaft that broke, when power going to only one wheel and the other locking up it's quite hard to control the car

    Suspension seems to have been the matchmaker in this battle, it also looked to me as he didn't have LSD... maybe WELDED diff ? either the welds broke or an axle and then power only goes to one wheel...

    Notice how the rear end drops/sags right before the crash...

  • I’m happy with my 325i, but the only performance mods are sport suspection and the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $150. Signature Motoring kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money. See my channel videos!

    -Adds 9HP average

    -Never replace filter again (uses K&N filter)

    -GREAT SOUND

    -Installs in maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime.

    I'm thinking maybe performance exhaust, but eh.

    Tire's contact patch lives a totally separate life under the car -not the straight line. (Guess how I know)

  • So wie's aussieht zu viel Leistung fürs Fahrwerk, dann hat der schöne E30 sich aufgeschaukelt (vllt. auch durch nen Lenkfehler) und das wars dann meistens. Es sei denn der Fahrer hats extrem drauf was nicht immer der Fall ist :(

  • how do you know it was factory/ lets asume the car is putting down alot of power, if he wanted a setup purely for drag racing i dont think it would be that suitable for track/street driving.

    If you build a car as good as that then you can smack talk.

  • while i agree there are many differences between trak and drag suspension layouts/charictoristics i can garentee that a well made drag car does not bounce anr roll quite so severly as that one clearly does to driver input, and id say that his dapers are to blame for this acciedent while of corse the driver is reasponsible 4 his car, ultimately it comes down to being his fault

Sooo unless its shot to shit like the vid shows there should be no prob pulling off without ur back end having a complete fit. so really what ever the piont ur trying to make here is lost on me and i have no doubt the rest of the mecanically minded community. +1 on the anti roll bar mounts being fucked 2
