I saw these guys years back at the Margate Lido....Seems like a lifetime ago but I suppose it was 96 or 97? Was chatting to Barbar before I knew he was in the band....very nice bloke.
hey does anyone know where i can download king prawn mp3z i would buy the cds but u cant get em here in tanzania and no proper credit card stuff here :(
all sonic boom six seem to do is rip other musicians off. went to see them once and recognized about 10 things that they'd blatantly, shamelessly ripped off from other artists.
from the same scene, talking about the same stuff... if u cant use other peoples ideas to trigger a song idea of ur own, (or i guess just using ideas anyway), then there's less inspiration
and anyway, at least they're blatant rips so u know what it was in the first place, as opposed to changing it and trying to pass it off as their own.
pretty much all electronic music is a blatant rip of the amen break, u gunna go complaining about that to about a million different rave scenes?
yes sonic boom six are the new king prawn in a way, they carry on the torch as far as originality and eclectic music go, and they toured with the prawn on there last tour an act many saw as passing on the torch so to speak, also babar has guested on sonic boom six songs.
if you like this check abstract genius out on reverb nation free album up to download, played with Babar a few times, good man
