This commercial is amazing, I am moving away and the words spoken in this commercial really spoke to me, that perhaps moving is just what I need to become more myslef I love this commercial!!!
beautiful video and commentary. it's true about visiting the city... Detroit is so sorely overlooked and avoided that Tim's comments can often be used when many people who live near it in SE Michigan re-discover it after long periods of not going there or fearing it.
don't listen to the haters, it's a beautiful and distinctive city, and where it's not beautiful if offers many lessons about American history and the way we (mis)treat our cities. well worth a visit.
I like the downtown scene in the very last clip. It shows one of the Michigan's (or DTW's) representatives- Auto Industrie! (GM's bldgs). The commercial is touching along with the profound voice-over.
Listen carefully to the words of this commercial. They are very profound. They say a lot about ourselves and our lives. Not just about one state or place. Don't usually say something like that about a TV commercial. Good Job Michigan!!

It's a shame the far left politicians have allowed the city to become totally run down.
