i've been searching for an answer but can't find it. if you have ever seen naruto it is pretty obvious that there are two type of animation program they use in shippuden. one is kinda crap and clunky. and one looks amazing for which they use in the really good fight scenes and it looks amazing. but why don't they use it for every fight and what are the programs and the differences? it freaking annoys me when i see a fight scene without the good animation. it just looks awful. thanks
hey I am new to this anime and animation making stuff seriously I am I am 16 and just barely strat this is my third day I have daz 3d and anime studio pro 8 I am learning i know how to draw in real life but not digitally so I am practicing I like ur work and was hoping if you could can you be like my onlin mentor for this? I am learning but I would like to have someone to help me here and there and guide me through things please?
@xXPsychoticGamingXx If you have the talent and patience for it, do it, I would say. I myself prefer also 2D animation. But I'm not so talented, and try to get the same effect with 3D. 3D to 2D...
@DutchWorkingMan Like I can draw things like Bleach with ease and I have a wacom tablet,so would I be able to import my drawing into the anime studio and use it?Your work is aewsome and I've always wanted to make an anime.I already have a manga of it done(well atleast 3 seasons of it).I'd love to turn it into a full fledged anime.
@xXPsychoticGamingXx You can import your drawings into Anime Studio, but for the animated parts you have it to convert into vectors. For more information, I would suggest to look at the tutorials that you also can find on Youtube.
@xXPsychoticGamingXx no anime studio pro is actually designed for 2D, it just recently in the last 2 versions started to incorporate 3d animation....toon boom might be the best 2d animator but anime studio is the best for beginers in 2d animation.
etooo... This warrior who walk, u should work with him. Foots haven't friction, like there aren't gravitation. When u repair it, u can make movies/anime ;)
wow, you're great. I want to use anime studio as you! You're incredible!! Congratulations!!!! where do you learn to use the program?! Congratulations again! :D (sorry for my bad english xD lol)
@nicolassmorales Thanks. Where? Or how? Don't understand what you really want to know. It's just practice and think more out of the box. I found out that Anime Studio is great for mixing your movies together. And if you put different renders or rendered movies exactly on each other, you can create some interesting effects.
@kyayaki Is all of this done on anime studio pro? No. I only imported the already made animation and pictures, and combined them in Anime Studio Pro. The difference between Anime Studio 7 and Pro? So far I know, a few more tools, effects and the z-as depth for placing your thing in 3d. You have to visit the site and check for the differences.
Is this the program Family Guy uses? It looks kinda similer in how its made and looks. This is awsome I have debute 7 and i have no idea what im doing.
@dubduhgoods For starters it is probably not easy to find ;) You find it at Layer - Options (the button with three points) at the bottom you see Layer blending mode. There you have a few options like the Overlay. Where is it good for? Wel, think about a coloured figure with only black lines. Take the black lines apart from the coloured version and combine them with an overlay effect. You will get a nicer effect, like you see in the animations :) Hope this will help. -DWM
@JackMead5 The 3d effect is not done with Anime Studio but imported 3d render movies, a few scenes even two renders in layers to get the cartoon effect.
so...Anime Studio 5 Pro has the feature to make 3D objects look like they were hand-drawn, like a 'raster' filter or whatever it's called? I need to go 'pro'...
@huzdaman100 You don't need Pro for this. In fact, they are just 3d renders, done with Poser. A few effects are done with 'layer blending mode', mixing two different renders, so that they look better. Pro is great for working with 'depth' layers.

probably a stupid question, but, does it have to be 3D?I prefer 2D animation like Bleach and Rosario Vampire.

¿So you´re using Poser and Anime studio, right? I used Sketchup and Anime studio for my animation
rimosmac 5 months ago
Wow, amazing - do you have a tutorial on doing this?
EnhancedDimensions 6 months ago
@EnhancedDimensions - No, I don't have any tutorials for anime studio pro. I wrote one for Poser, for cartoon rendering, but that's it.

Version 8 or Anime Studio Pro is out The Users Manual is a bit confusing so I have a couple of videos to better explain some of the new features.
