  • My cat had surgery for the exact same thing at the end of January. The tumor was almost in the exact same spot as your cat. I was elated for him because I thought he was free from it...until it grew back less than three months. It is now August and the tumor is almost as big as his head now. Removing it again is out of the question at $1200.00...especially if it is just going to keep coming back so quickly! But I am not putting him to sleep as long as he still eats and seems content otherwise.

    You should join feline-vas-support(dot)org. They have many helpful people and info. Your cat should be on an anti-inflammatory if not already. This will help with pain and can slow the growth of the tumor. Many pharmaceutical companies will reimburse up to 1500 toward vet bills if your vet is willing to help locate the manufacture of the vaccine. Positive thoughts and prayers for you and your kitty.
