  • i dont know what rock I've been under. I saw this a few nights a go on fallon and was blown away. fallon is a twerp jawbox is grand

  • I love it...proper music wheeehey !!!!!!!..what about burning airlines....

  • good performance but the sound technician got it all wrong :S but hey thats just my opinion

  • Wow, I had no clue this band was back. F'n rad!

  • people should hire better soundmen for television. what is up with barbot's guitar being so awkwardly loud?

  • I was torn on the Fallon thing. But he's been growing on me. This puts him over the top. Not funnier than Craig Ferguson by any stretch of the imagination. But having Jawbox on your show is instant late night street cred.

  • john stewart always had good bands on his show

  • huumm... they seem to be rockin alot harder than they should for this crap. I mean stoping head bang in. I will have to go and look at another sound clip and give a good listen. just like "jesusj0nes " said bad sound guy.

  • Thats so cool! I loved that album when it came out

  • GOOD SHIT MAN. love this band, especially this song. although the vocals and guitars sound a tad off.

  • Jimmy Fallon for the win on this one. I can't believe he just asked them to perform and they said yes. Wow. Epic win.

  • Whew!!! Get down Kim Coletta!! What an AMAZING band!!

  • checkout my vid, i show jimmy fallon bobbing his head while the band plays, it's pretty funny. also has links to high quality vids of the 3 songs they played that night.

  • Jimmy Fallon once asked me to put the Doors on the jukebox at a bar. I'd say this slightly redeems him. Slightly.

  • The Doors rock! Jim Morrison is awesome!

  • FUCK YES!!!!

  • Jesus, the sound guy did an awful fucking job.

  • jawbox is like whiskey.....they get better with age!

  • This is the one of the greatest bands ever! Hope they tour again!

  • I hate Fallon, but if his music taste is like this, then he is forgiven...slightly.

  • I stumbled across this last night, and I love Jawbox. I was stunned Jimmy Fallon got them to perform.

  • holy crap, still as good as the '90s version

  • i was there for the soundcheck and taping, and it was even better seeing it live. sounded fucking awesome. TV sound can't really do it justice, obviously. They also played "Desert Sea" during the soundcheck. blown away that i got to see one of my all-time favorites live again. but don't hold your breath for a tour, unfortunately. Not to mention the re-issue has some life-threatening low-end this time around. Just sick.

  • really dude?

  • Such a REAL band. One of the last.

  • I hate that I missed this last night. Thanks for posting the vid!

  • Oh yeah! NOW I remember what good rock n' roll sounds like. Thank you, Jawbox!

  • When people think of bands of the 90's they think of Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, but those people got it wrong, it was all about Pavement, Jawbox and Fugazi. These 3 bands were way more influential in todays music as well as back then

  • You might prefer them (so do I), but influental is more than your own personal opinion.

  • 100% agree w/ your inclusion of Jawbox & Fugazi as underrated influencers - and your point on the over-emphasis of Nirvana as being so influential. When I first heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit" my initial thought was: Jane's Addiction has a new single! Obviously, Jane's true impact has been somewhat tainted by the overexposure of Perry Farrell and "the dude that married Carmen Elektra" but that shouldn't come at the original band's expense! Jane's Addiction was our generation's Led Zepp!

  • NIrvana got it right, too right. Don't forget they recorded with Albini as well as Fugazi.

  • awesome band

  • One of my all time favorite bands. F'ing rad!

  • My god how I wish this would turn into a tour!!!

  • Freaking rad.

  • so good i had to comment twice

  • brilliant and still one of the most relevant bands of the last 20 years

  • bassist=taught at my school

  • Saw them open for 7 Seconds in Atl 1988.

Didnt get it then but later.........

  • incredible.

  • first lol...this fucking kicked ass
