And the close up bits are just cut-scenes, the far away bit is what you see in the game.

It's still a good game, just a little outdated, but when I first got it I played it like nonstop:P

To answer your question SexySparta11, Age of Kings is awesome, but with conquerors expansion, even better. You get 5 more civs and some added enhancements and campaigns. Can't beat that.

69thug69, that's the point, Rome was to big to control its territories and people started to come up with riots. The bigger the empire, the harder it is to control it. This would be a black and white explanation, things were more difficult of course.
