  • Many other aurora sightings in the US last year were on October 24th, and I happened to miss out on the memo! Hoping to see them up here in MI March 9th.

  • Beautiful! These lights are on my bucket list.

  • and North Dakota had to be cloudy on this particular night.

  • cant beleve i missed it :(

  • At 0:17 i gasped! I've never seen something like that in my whole entire life!

  • this is soo hot ! by the way are those comets ? i would totally love to see them ! but i live in the usa :( .

  • @phillyoxx Read the description man. This is in Kansas. I live about 20mins northeast of this and we're under a major airway, what you see are mixtures of satellites and aircraft... maybe a comet or two. You can see comets everywhere when you're about 30mins away from civilization for sure. Best places for falling stars in my honest opinion is western Montana, Indian Caves in Nebraska, and St. George's Gorge in Utah coming from Arizona and Nevada.

  • @GDF333 oopsies i see the location now lol sorry

  • some sweet info here

  • Amazing play of colours by nature!

  • 0:15 :)

  • haarp? lol

  • omg i get goosebumps watchin it on here

  • Nice shot! Here in Iowa we had a 20-30min burst of intense activity. Then just the usual green arch. It's nice to see them again...It's been the longest stretch that I have not seen them in Iowa (about 3 years). Usually I will see them 5 to 6 times a year. As we approach the Solar Maxima in 12 we should be getting more frequent sightings.

  • Aurora Borealis is extremely rare this far south. But it's not unheard of. It just happened at the right time for many people to see it. It's nothing to be worried about, in fact, I wish I could have seen it here in Salt Lake City.

  • Awesome...

  • Isn't this pretty rare for as far south as KS? I lived in Topeka for most of my life and I think I saw the Northern Lights once when I was a kid. Does it mean the solar flares are more intense than normal or is it a combination of things. Great vid. Wasn't expecting anything near that spectacular.

  • @merhlin Yeah I'm guessing its getting more intense and farther down south.I've never seen these amazing thins, but seeing them in Kansas seems like things are changing fast.I thought It was only up north like in Canada and Alaska that get these things lol

  • @merhlin type in forizal in the search thanx

  • The Sun is awake again..

  • @fxwizard1 Majority of those are planes as its in the middle of the states :D

  • Looks fake to me jmo

  • Remember I was here.Thai 6:50PM 10/26/2011

  • Right at 22seconds.

  • Anyone notice the light that shoots up into the sky on the bottom left corner?

  • Wow--that is absolutely insane!!! I wish we got these aurorae here in Arizona! Awesome video!

  • That was awesome, especially around 19 secs in.

  • I've never seen them before! How beautiful!

  • Fyi, this shouldn't be happening in the middle of the country... The sun is starting to wake up. So should you.

  • @jcaronor1 Some folks are already awake, live safe and well in the concrete condos, tile roofing and very solid. Ironsoup.com building a safe haven for the future.

  • Stunning!

  • I saw them in SW Ohio last night also!!

  • nice. I could have seen that here in Minneapolis - but too cloudy.

  • :18 to :19: INCREDIBLE!! O, what I would DO to see the northern lights like THIS!! AMAZING video; added to favorites!
