And in comparsion with modern russian submacs it loses to PP 19, and of cource to PP 2000 by all tactical parametres, not to mention that russian analogues are slightly more then twice cheaper. Also, 5.7 sucks

@gorumppeyya The PP2000 is hard to control. The stock is an extra magazine, so once you reload, no accuracy! Ingenious Russian engineering.

The 5.7 does suck in everything but armor penetration, and that's the primary appeal. With armored targets, nothing does better. Cheaper isn't a concern to governments.

@A9900960 The civilian version is readily available, but there are drawbacks. It has a 16 inch barrel sticking out the front, it's semi-auto, you can only get the neutered civilian ammo, and it costs about two grand. Granted it's fun as all hell to shoot, but maybe not to buy.

@patsfannumero1 If you're in the US, a bit of ATF paperwork and a $200 tax stamp is all you need to legally own full-auto weapons, silencers and all the other fun stuff.

The civilian semi-auto version with the longer barrel is a way to get around some stupid laws banning full-auto weapons made after 1986. To legally own a short P90 , you pretty much have to become a class-3 licenced firearms dealer.
