It is amazing how much EDM's (Electronic Measuring Devices) have shrunk- try carrying around an HP3800 or old Tellurometer in your pocket... Since I have a surveying instrument (total station) which will shoot distances up to 1000+ feet with no glass retroreflector prism I think I'll stick to using it...

Those pocket EDM's are pretty cool though- great for measuring square footage of houses, etc.

My mother said "warsh" also, just like a lot of us native Washingtonians do...

well i accidently install some program called Internet Antivirus Pro. and i think its a virus!! it keeps on telling me that i have multiple problems and alot of stuff !! i already uninstalled it and still pops up!!

Maybe you could check out one of those digital levels that measure angles both vertically and horizontally. They are supposed to be used for construction BUT I want to use one in astronomy. Attach it to your telescope, have your laptop convert Right Ascension and Declination to Altitude (ALT) (vertical angle) and Azimuth (AZ) (horizontal angle) for any celestial object at any given time, and then use the digital level to move your telescope to that particular ALT / AZ coordinate accurately.
