During the acupuncture part, did you notice the "assistant" holding the patient's ankle? Just before he took ahold of the ankle he looked like he was trying to position himself carefully and looking down like trying to make sure he was stepping on something. He could have been stepping on a source of electricity. The electricity could have traveled through the assistant, up the patient's leg, down his arms to his elbows and through Dynamo Jack to the floor. For me, it casts doubt on all of it.

If the bed, etc. are carefully insulated, the shortest path might be through all three bodies, with Dynamo Jack "tweaking the circuit" by touching the patient at the elbows. Also, the SOURCE of the voltage might be where Jack is standing, and the assistant might grounding--that way Jack can continue to zap people by standing on a "charged" floor-tile.
