  • Do they not show those kind of ads a lot in England? We get them all of the time in America. You just learn to ignore them after a while.

  • @AlwaysAPotterhead They're pretty uncommon and they're really not welcome, they ruin the show that you're watching. :(

  • hahaha he's hilarious.

  • hhahahahaha awsome

  • Oh, big mistake, HUGE, if you value your continued existence, if you have any plans on seeing tomorrow, there is one thing you never EVER put in an episode of Doctor Who. And that's GRAHAM FREAKIN' NORTON.

  • Graham... Who?

  • Doctor Who?

  • It would be better if it was the real thing!

  • they need to make a Dalek anti virus software

  • @LawsonMovies MALWARE HAS BEEN DETECTED! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINAAAAAAATE!

  • They need to get him in an episode. Upvote if you think the same.

  • Haha that's funny!

  • Mr Norton was a good sport about this...even though he was in no way to blame.

  • lol

  • hahahaha! daleks :D

  • XD I don't even live in the UK, but that was flippin' hilarious! Sure, it wasn't his fault, but that was just great!

  • "Happy now?"

    Yes. I'm more than satisfied.

  • Ahahahahaha That was awesome!!

  • I love Graham Norton for this now. I still can't really enjoy talk shows, mainly because I don't follow celebrity culture, but when I get the jokes I find him hilarious, and it's nice to see the TV agree with us for a change.

  • its funny for me cause they do that on american tv all the time. if it had happened over here i dont think many people would have noticed. well i know that i wouldnt have. also, to be fair, graham didnt have any say in it so dont be mad at him!!

  • Mister Norton, you can be my Anti Virus anytime.

  • @Lesserthannone Daleks are better at exterminating hostile code.

  • When it popped up on doctor who, it should have been trollface instead of graham lol XD

  • I don't think I'd mind a couple of those kind of things popping up in a show, but the bit it popped over was so crucial.

  • When I watched it, I didn't even notice until I saw this.

I was too caught up in the story.

  • I remember that !

  • @ArwinUndomiel Or HD.

  • alright... Graham's gone up in my books now

  • Yep. I saw both of the episodes (THAT Graham Norton and THAT Doctor Who) and I laughed my knickers off. How horrible that the most epic part of that episode was ruined by Graham's huge Irish head...

  • Just to prove that BBC1 has a sense of humour, there's also been an animated Matt Smith caption that has occasionally appeared in some general Saturday night trails.

  • @ comoper Can you get BBC America? That's how I watch watch it for I too am american.

END OF MESSAGE to comoper LOL that's great I wish they'd exterminate all those anoyying bar adds in america they'd be a lot more intertaining.

  • Haha at least you get Doctor Who in England. I have yet to find a station in south USA.

  • The problem is that this kind of damage control actually works. People say "well after all it wasn't that big a deal". And they keep ruining shows by running ads overtop them. People put up with so much advertising bullshit, and this hiccup isn't going to turn that trend.

  • HAHAHAHA XD that comic in the final scene lmao

  • I love Graham Norton now. I hardly watch his show just because I'm not into talk shows, though I'm amused by the bits I've seen.

  • Yea, how dare he be in Matt's face! :P

  • Haha, that was awsome!

  • you can tell he's a major DW fan :)

  • "The prestigious role of 'man ruining the end of the episode'" made me lol

  • Damn it's not real.

  • obviously it wasn't his fault...i'm sure at least a few of the people who called in were angry at the bbc, not norton himself.

  • I'm glad i watched it on iplayer.

  • lol

  • channel isnt availeble in my country ? fk fk fk....

  • Comment removed

  • ok hang on, so did people complain about the animation at the bottom of the screen at the end of the episode or something? I don't get what happened?

  • @Karonsay I thinks so cuz it ruined Matt Smith's line at the end. I think it was pretty pointless for people to complain cuz it didn't ruined the sound at all so you could still hear what was being said.

  • Graham Norton's a funny guy.

  • That's the BBC taking cues from those stupid bloody American networks constantly plastering banner ads for other programmes over the show. Family Guy showed how much they hate them by doing spoof ads for shows they called, 'Shovin' Buddies', 'Slowly Rotating Black Man', and 'Cross-Armed Opposites'.

  • Happy now!?!?!?!

  • Ahhhhh time of angels

  • EXTERMINATE!!!

  • To be fair. it wasn't exactly his fault in the first place... but 100% respect for joking about it!

  • That's pretty jokes, a lot of respect for him doing that haha!!

  • I LOVE THIS! lol i was the one who complained lol

  • I love norton I was one of the ones who complained lol

  • Graham: for doctor who fans, happy now?!

    Yes I am happy ;)

  • Wish it was real.

  • looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool :) i luv DW but this is soooo funny :D

  • It happened during the 1st episode of the new season 1 too.

  • @CathodeAddict actually the episode with the gun scene shown was the time of angels, mid way though series 5 not the first ep of series 6, is that wat you thought it was

  • @Matty09Magic Oh yes mate that's what I meant! 8)

  • I don't blame Graham. It's not like he went into the department and told them "I want my trail on at this time during Doctor Who."

  • @dwfan6995 but sadly it was during the most epic episode and most epic scene of that episode ever

  • @Narutofan1000k Yeah but that's kinda like saying the most epic tennis match ever. Maybe epic by tennis standards but by everyone else's... pffft.

  • I don't know why they're blaming HIM, he didn't choose to appear on the end.

  • Gotta love Graham, if this happened in america with like, Oprah, or Nancy Grace or someone like that, there would be no apology, no humor, they would say "Dont like it? Tough, watch my show" Norton however, took it all in stride, and earned forgiveness

  • Yes, we're happy now. You have absolved yourself!

  • Good old Graham ;)

  • Good man. Not many famous people would do that. They would stick their nose up at them and say "so?" Graham Norton, you are a good sport.

  • YAAYYYYYYY dr who ftw and graham norton your a good sport :)

  • yay graham norton got exterminated!!!

  • I'm a fanboy and I love seeing new/different doctors, it adds a new dimension to the character. And personally, Matt Smith is my favourite, next to Troughton, and Steven Moffat is a FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better writer than Russell T Davies. I really hated 'The End of Time'... >:(

  • @MorlockHater Same, End of Time was awful, everything about it lacked any logic and was unexplained, it was the the most self indulgent and idiotic regeneration since... well ever, from the mindless inconsistencies to the biggest cop since Journey's End, absolutely terrible story, that at the end of it, not only ruined two classic characters even more so than before, but also made the entire plot and what was going on, completely pointless and irrelevant to the actual regeneration.

  • @Timelord6661 couldn't agree more, although I thought they handled the actual regeneration part (as in, the last 10 minutes) quite well. What i felt pushed the entire episode over the brink was the fact that everyone was the Master. That was just ridiculous...

  • @MorlockHater Really? I couldn't stand the regeneration scene, I mean it was extremely self indulgent, him visiting all of his companions, I was just waiting for him to go to Cardiff and shake Russell T Davies's hand to thank him, plus the end sequence just dragged, all that fan fair, melodramatic music just felt pointless, I might sound heartless but I sighed with relief and laughter when he changed because they dragged it out for so long that I didn't care any more, it got really tedious.

  • @Timelord6661 i agree RTd tried to hard to make it dramtic and it just felt overdramatic and you felt no sympathy jsut like: Get on with it!

  • @MorlockHater The master race? They spend all this effort for just a silly pun? Hell yes. Doctor Who still rules.

  • @Timelord6661 mmmm hugely agree. Worst regeneration story ever! And atleast when Rory came back in series 5 the doctor had no explanation but he stil lsaid: Sometimes impossible things just happen, and we call them miracles

  • now that's being a good sport, got to love Graham :)

  • @barkyindustries I don't see anyone praising World of Warcraft around here. I do see a Doctor Who fanboy: I'm responding to him. Only fanboys freak out when the Doctor changes.

  • @trlkly And The only thing I'm a fanboy to is Halo, REEEEAAAACH DEFINAT MAP PACK WOOOOO

  • @barkyindustries No I'm just saying I prefered the other ones, and as in WOW not world of warcraft clever, seriously it lost russel t davies and mr tennant and I only really watched doctor who if I catch it on tv or on Iplayer, I don't deliberately stake out my day around it He said he was prepared for the role but he isn't he said he had some cool unique lines that would make his doctor interesting and they're not cool or funny or anything good. IMO but most people will agree tennant was better

  • @barkyindustries has it been reported that the show is going to plummet or are you just saying that because you want it to plummet? and also, what keystones are you talking about?

  • It would have been good if the credits said "plank who ruined the ending- Graham Norton"

  • It's just the way that Dalek appears on screen Exterminates Graham and zips off again! Cracks me up! XD

  • They love me !

    ...

    Ow.

  • I never thought Daleks could be of such good use lol

  • good on ya graham :)

  • Three cheers for the Daleks!! lol

  • I love this show...now. It actually comes on BBC America, but I passed it off as a boring British Talk show. :/

Now, I know what show I'm going to be watching from now on. :-)

  • @viewtifuldee WOW! u guys have BBC!!! ok u just need itv and im over there :D

  • @rockprincess2110 We need ITV and Channel 4. Yeah, I watch more British Television than American Television. :/ If we don't get those two channels soon, I may just move to GB! :p

  • This was funnier when I was watching it On Demand where, right after the Doctor said 'Me,' a Graham Norton commercial followed the scene. Totally ruined the mood and made me laugh.

  • Even he loves Amy Pond. Shows how hot she is.

  • did anyone else get the reference to Graham ruining the DW scene in the sketch at the beginning of the NTs on wednesday??

  • @Kerriangel No what was the reference?

  • @JadesVidz in the scene with matt and Dermot the tardis appears when graham is doing the news. watch it and see :)

  • Omg, that was pretty funny. I'm so used to pop ups as an American that I didn't even know that was an issue.

  • I Love this show :)

  • at least he's a good sport about it

  • Exterminate!!! :)

  • Can't that happen in real life?

  • it was good of him to do that lol

  • WOOT!!

  • Kudos to Graham for poking fun at the faux pas! I watched the episode on iPlayer, so thankfully I didn't have to endure the pop-up at the end!

And @stad97, not even Northern Ireland is part of Britain. Britain is the mainland (England, Scotland and Wales), N.I. is just part of the UK.

  • Screw that! I say a real Dalek should have come up and shot him rather then his cartoon version.

  • @CoruptedCorupter wasn't his fault should have killed the ppl that put that promos at the end of dw.

  • @TheDoctorTL3 Ya I know. But for some reason it makes me feel better blaming him.

  • i love graham ^^ best sense of humour ever <3

  • I didn't even notice this when I watched the episode. I live in the Netherlands, where it's normal that complete people burst out of your screen to tell you about a new show. Last week I was watching a show and african people started running over the screen and making noise! REALLY annoying!! That's one reason I'm watching BBC al lot.

  • @37natasja92 on bbc hd it wasn't shown so if u got the HDTV of the episode it didn't show the cartoon

  • @TheDoctorTL3 We don't have bbc hd here.. I'm just blind :P I don't notice that kind of stuff.

  • notice how they used the classic dalek design

  • HAHAHAHA you brits!

  • Serves him right fr stealing ten seconds of a 45 minute episode

  • This is why I love Graham. Most stars would either completey ignore it, or post something on their tiwtter about how "doctor who nerds need to shut up about that ad". He just takes the mickey out himself.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL

Seriously though how sad must those people who complained be

  • @superhappyfunslide2 no not sad just annoyed, it ruined it, this was funny.

  • @superhappyfunslide2 My brother complained hahaha

  • His British accent just makes it that much more funny for me

  • @CaptainAmerica523

umm, that's an american accent. his accent doesn't sound British to me at least.

  • @stad97 I am an american and trust me that accent is not american. Its a british talk show, the host is going to be british and thus have a british accent

  • @CaptainAmerica523

well, look, i said it didn't SOUND british.

  • @stad97 You are aware Nortons' actually Irish??

  • @sum4182

that's why i said it didn't SOUND british.

  • @stad97 before that though you said "that's an american accent".

  • @sum4182

um dude, you take it from the context. i added after that that that didn't sound British to me 'at least'. stress on the at least.

  • @stad97 irish. is. british. O.o

  • @ImperviousAffinity

i didn't say irish wasn't british. and no, only northern ireland is part of britain.

  • The best thing Graham Norton has ever done by miles.

  • Hahahaha, should've used that in the episode!

  • hmm, i'll forgive you :L

  • Comment removed

  • "Happy now?"

    Yes, Yes I am!!

  • Graham Norton is a great sport, and despite the kerfuffle about this, it just shows how many people take Doctor Who very seriously!!

  • I forgive you Graham xD

  • I don't why people fuss about a small advert in the end of the episode. Of course, I live in America, but if something like that happens like that, I often watch a rerun of the episode when it re airs.

  • @PercyandDuckfan94 It was actually really annoying xD i know it sounds petty but it was an epic moment and then it was like...OH SCREW OFF GRAHAM :U

  • Genuine LOL from me :)

  • People are just overreacting. It didn't ruin it.

  • @TheGrindcore1 True, but it gave him a marvelous opportunity to do something hilarious like this.

  • @pinkdrink1 Well actually as it was the most dramatic part of the episode it does ruin it somewhat when an orange cartoon comes across the bottom of the screen and takes you out of the action

  • We need Daleks for the FOX network.

  • @lkgrave They would probably JOIN the Fox Network!

  • @NoPawn Shit! You're probably right. Theyll probably mistake Rupert Murdoch for Davros.

  • @lkgrave yes please!!! maybe if we get the entire fan base of doctor who to write in to FOX and tell them that it might actually happen.

  • @lkgrave yes yes yes the republican elite

  • @lkgrave Not for. Against!

  • @blenderpanzi Actually we need them for every network because those stupid banners take over every show I watch.

  • @lkgrave and cybermen

  • @lkgrave Damn Straight! Bring Back My Big Damn Heroes!!!

  • Exterminate!!!Lol

  • If the image of him had been over River Song's face, no one would have complained....

  • LOVE IT! Glad he took it all with a pinch of salt. =]

I would pretty annoyed that it came up at the end, though I didn't watch the episode until the day after on iPlayer and the BBC removed it by then. Still, I'm glad it happened now as they got to do this. lol

  • do it for real, then ill be happy lol

  • what was the big deal? i'm a huge Doctor fan, but i guess being in the US, we always see idents and adverts on the bottom of the TV screen, particulary on FOX

  • @GriffithAMPS really? ive never seen things like that on tv shows in britain.

  • @9hello123 yes, really. in America, no matter what network you watch you have some stupid advent on the bottom potion of the screen. so, i guess if you're not used to that, then Norton showing up at the bottom of a Who episode could be annoying.

  • @GriffithAMPS Problem is that 1) the BBC here don't run adverts, and little ident things are pretty rare, and 2) it was right at the dramatic part lol :P

  • Oh yes... that was such a good episode too... to put that in the middle of his "trap" speech I would have raged as well

  • exterminate him

  • Wow. I dread to think what they'd have done to him if he'd interrupted Victory of the Daleks...

  • i didnt see that, maby cuz i watched it on iplayer
