Better to learn to read it from a machine without wasting money than to pay money and fail songs on a level you would pass had you used stepmania... Most people who play stepmania play DDR, and I'm almost certain this guy is no different. How do you think people get so good? They learned to read note steps on SM, most likely.

@iBackHandHoz Its definitely what I did...(Got not videos uploaded) I learned how to read more complex stuff then moved to the higher tier of heavy in DDR...the only problem I had was cardio =(

Oh in that case it was just a passive design choice. They had a different team work on Extreme (from what I recall) from the others so there are a few inconsistencies.

At least they kept the scoring system the same until DDRX though.
