I dont know whats the BIG DEAL with the GT-R if the Z06 already has a lap time of 7:22 at the Legendary Nurburgring compared to the GT-R's 7:25.

Z06: RWD, Stick Shift, N/A engine, hardly any electronics.

GT-R: AWD, paddle Shifters, TWIN TURBOS on engine, Launch Control, Stabilty Control, Traction Control. The GT-R basically drives its self with all that technology.

V12 is too heavy . I think it's exclusive engine for exotic car with very high price that not GT-R range. You know even Ferrari not use V12 with their lower price car.

I like the next GT-R to be mid-engine car, there are no mid engine V6 turbo in the market now so it would be very strong position for GT-R.

The ring is a great benchmark, undoubtedly THE benchmark. While the Nissan is faster, and while i dont deny its faster and probably a better machine, it is STILL A NISSAN. Plastic Jap Shite.

If i were in a position to buy a 997 Turbo i would take the turbo. If I wasnt, and could only afford the Nissan, I would go look at a Cayman instead.

I still like the R34 over all the GTR's, including the R35. It's just an amazing ride. I have ridden in the R32, R33, and R34 and my favorites are the R34 and R32. They are just AMAZING CARS. I hate that Renault runs Nissan (which means Japanese Made). However they are making the change. As for the cars, Nissan's new GTR is sold all over which may be great for sales. Maybe they should have done that with the rest but that is why they are so prized. The 34 and the RB26 are CLASSIC.

yea but the Pantera was partially Italian designed... i didn't realize you weren't from the U.S. besides you could get a remake of the GT40 from the 60's brand new for about 30.000 pounds i believe from a company in Africa who owns the design. However a restored Pantera is around $50,000 U.S. for a starter... and if like you said only U.S. then there would be an import fee...  i tend to favor mustangs though... i have 3 ...
