What there is a record of is the idea that Atheism is more prevalent when people aren't scared into believing in God from a very young age. Therefore, Atheism would be more prevalent in a country where there is more freedom of speech (i.e. religion has less of a stranglehold on society).
Following this logic, the U.S.A. would have a higher rate.

What there is a record of is the idea that Atheism is more prevalent when people aren't scared into believing in God from a very young age. Therefore, Atheism would be more prevalent in a country where there is more freedom of speech (i.e. religion has less of a stranglehold on society).
