  • I really think this was the best song on the whole game. Too bad they automatically left the box unchecked, shame more people don't know about it because they've never looked through the whole music list.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Simcity always has perfect building music. I listen to these soundtracks all the time while building stuff in Minecraft. It's a really good combo.

  • looks like every one like sc4

  • Nearly sounds Drakengard-like.

  • Such a melody. sad song, but LOVE the game, you know that it's kind of a learning game because you have to keep track of money and budgets and I would teach you that that's how life would be as a mayor.

  • me imagino no fundo do mar sendo uma sereia com essa musica....é mágico...

  • Fairy Tale music (cinderella ball of 0:00h) hahha

  • this song really reminds me of a steampunk city...

  • "It's a small little town but we're coming alive."

  • great! no other word for it

  • 3 people's cities got burned down.

    44 people's cities got a golden trophie.

  • I really hate people who slave to force music into a label.

  • The first time I heard this song on SC4 in game I thought the middle of the song was an alarm for disaster; great song though.

  • I try to get a picture in my imagination from this song, but all i see is a big orchestra... Spode, this doesn't sound like game music! It could actually be played at an orchestra...

  • sounds A LOT like Aaron Copland.

  • nice, I like it.. :)

  • somehow 1:23 brings up images of building elevated rail in simcity.

  • It kind of sounds like something on Age of Empires III.

  • Whenever I hear this a lot of things come to mind. First I think of the movie "Baby's Day Out" because this sounds a little similar to some of the music heard in that movie. Second I think about life in the 1940's. Third I think of movies that were modeled around that era like "Dennis the Menace" (1993) and the quanit little town setting of the movie.

  • God, I LOVE THE BASSOON IN THIS!

  • I have to comment on this song again...earlier i said that i rarely like this type of music...since my last comment i had a few life complications...i saw this song in my favorites list and played it... and i fell in love with this song...i realized the beautiful significance of this tune... thanks man

  • This music was in the preview vids for Spore... 5/5

  • but don't buy Spore ... I was very disappointed ...

  • Spore isn't a bad game, but it REALLY isn't the best. ;)

  • I swear if a high school orchestra played this in a competition, they would win first place!!

  • I think my school's orchestra can learn this piece, but we can't find the sheet music anywhere : /

  • It reminds music from Harry Potter games

  • lol

  • hahaha lol, i know what you mean xD

  • great song

  • Wow i love this sound, the best simcity 4 track!

  • landfill is the best

  • This sounds like a disney song.

  • probably because of the oboe, 90% of disney music had one

  • This is one of my favs too

  • me too man me too!

  • classical is teh best... : /

  • Hm, some of these "classical" styled songs that came with Rush Hour, I thought never belonged with the game.

  • It ain't any classical.

They are all new age or minimalism which is modern music forms. Classical is really old style, from Mozart time period.

Anyways the Rush Hour songs were the best. Very good minimalism/new age songs.

  • @ScriabinFanatic i dont think this files under minimalism, i don't think any of his music is taken back to the bare minimal. I think his style is actually a very good example of po-mo in the gaming industry, hes very versitile. But also don't forget, many composers still operate within classical forms.

  • @ScriabinFanatic It's Neo-Classical. And yes, modern music can be referred to as classical.

  • @ScriabinFanatic That's the classical era, but classical's technical definition is to think with logic, and by muisic is any form of music (usually orchestrated) to follow music theory, because music theory is logical. It doesn't have to be from the classical era to be classical, but over half the time is. lol

  • I love the ending.. it's so, desolate..

  • nothing great about the ending...it just quickly fades out

  • Sounds a bit like a work of Joe Hisaishi.

  • i smoke joe hashish

  • Good for you. Eat miracle fruits too.

  • hahaha that was funny

  • Sounds a bit like a work of Joe Hisaishi.
