@alcoholicmr The GTR Premium just means that it has all/most of the options or fully loaded basically. As for the "r35 gtr". well the R35 just means what body style it is. I.E the R34, R33, and R32. The previous skylines had the body style in the name but with this one they dont usually mention it. As well as getting rid of haveing the 2 different version previously (GTR and GTS). There is only GTR's now. Hope this helps.
@reavrr: in fact, it's exactly the same as the DSG in a Golf.....a double clutch gearbox, and VW were actually the first to sell such a gearbox......(But Porsche created it 25 years ago!)

If I had one of these, it would probably be my everyday driver. I have an 07 350z, and it's my only car. Add AWD and a back seat, and yeah.. I'd be pretty much set.

it's a 90,000 dollar, 4,000 pound, hyped up Nissan that has a crap ton of warranty issues, and costs an arm and a leg to actually own. Oh! BTW! Only Nissan Master Technicians are even allowed to look at the damn thing. how much do you think an oil change costs? Oh wait, don't forget! Every 60,000 miles you have to have the engine sent out to get the cylinder walls re-coated with this substance that reduces friction with the pistons. (I'm a Nissan Tech. I hate the GT-R)

Understeers on high speed corners because that's the limit of the chassis in lateral G's, technology can't change that without downforce. I bet the understeer is no worse than a gallardo ,GT3 or R8 though, it just feels like it reletively because it behaves so well in all other areas.
It does 0-60 in 3.2s stock on numerous magazine. And the new 2012 Nissan GT-R now has 530 hp instead of 485 hp and have 488 pound feet of torque verse 434. And it beat the Corvette ZR1 by 2 full second on the famous German ring on slightly wet track.
@hamdanae Cars are heavily taxed in europe based on how much Co2 they produce, the displacement of the engines, type of fuel etc. Which is why small diesel cars are very popular in european countries
its a good sign that his only real knock is the torque split causing understeer because thats fairly easily remedied by decreasing the amount of torque to go to the front

@michaelball123 no, they didn't drop the skyline name. the older gtr's (r32, r33, r34, etc.) were all based on the nissan skyline. but this time round, they wanted a bespoke chassis. so they don't call it a skyline anymore because it isn't a skyline. the skyline is the infiniti g37 in japan.

What i like about the GTR is that you don't have to be a professional driver to drive the car around the track. All the electronics in the car can help correct mistakes on the drivers part, that's why I think it would consistently beat many cars on the market within the price range and beyond.
Yes but the torque is inmediatli with no lag and diesel low torque. Max torque from 3200 to 5200 rpms not like supercars that have all at end. And for 1000€ you can have a 570HP and 90 ft-tq improvement (121.5 NM) with COBB Acessport. Or for 10000€ you can have the HKS GT680, or hensessey's V700 for 15.000€
but you see why would i want to dump more money into a car thats warranty is voided if i use the sport mode on the car, with a transmission that will break. And the high maintenance costs since everything on it is hand made and custom made for each car. This guy could be wrong but i think he said 3000 for an oil change and oil filter change? f that crap. for 80k i can get a new r32 golf and put a twin turbo on it tune it make it the way i wanted and still have some change left over.
sorry you would need more than $5k to have a civic run laps around a GTR, maybe on a 1/4 mile, maybe (2nd hand turbo kit, then have the Civic gutted). on any lap any day, I dont think so.
2 gripes; no prestige badge eg; uh nice nissan. and it uses a lot more gas than a 997tt to go a little faster, thought these guys were the strictest on emissions?

I think there marketing team supersedes your "honest opinion". This car is a huge departure from the skyline of yesteryear, and anyone with enough money for thing can see past the name

tnx for your comment , a rspected idea indeed. nevertheless , the "name" is a basic element in the product mix It's very essential in creating a theme for the product . i'm an MBA student / ex-Aston Martin ..i might see things from a different prospective. tnx agian.

What i like about the GTR is that you don't have to be a professional driver to drive the car around the track. All the electronics in the car can help correct mistakes on the drivers part, that's why I think it would consistently beat many cars on the market within the price range and beyond.

the main bad thing about it is that it only makes 480 hp with 17.8 psi which is kind of sad in terms of hp for the psi

Yes but the torque is inmediatli with no lag and diesel low torque. Max torque from 3200 to 5200 rpms not like supercars that have all at end. And for 1000€ you can have a 570HP and 90 ft-tq improvement (121.5 NM) with COBB Acessport. Or for 10000€ you can have the HKS GT680, or hensessey's V700 for 15.000€

but you see why would i want to dump more money into a car thats warranty is voided if i use the sport mode on the car, with a transmission that will break. And the high maintenance costs since everything on it is hand made and custom made for each car. This guy could be wrong but i think he said 3000 for an oil change and oil filter change? f that crap. for 80k i can get a new r32 golf and put a twin turbo on it tune it make it the way i wanted and still have some change left over.

sorry you would need more than $5k to have a civic run laps around a GTR, maybe on a 1/4 mile, maybe (2nd hand turbo kit, then have the Civic gutted). on any lap any day, I dont think so.
