You don't have to drop the firewall to get the Ethernet & wireless connection to share! My god you want your connection SECURE or risk being hacked! You should secure the connection between both as a shared connection & allow the 360 to communicate with your pc through the correct port.Add the allowed port settings through the firewall. read about it in windows help or online, if you need your 360 to run on wireless of your PC. Why not just use a wireless router w/ multiple Ethernet hub?

So my dad drilled holes through my floor to reach my basement where the modem is. Some people cant get access to their Pc unless their firewall is down. You could probably just go into the settings of your antivirus and tweek them i guess, but everyone has a different antivirus it would just make me go crazy. The easiest way to explain it was to turn it off.

This dude's vid actually worked. If it doesnt connect, go back to the network settings on your pc, right click the wireless conection, and go to the advanced section, click settings down by the internet connection sharing section. Make sure the DNS is checkmarked.

well, than this video is not your solution. Overall, My solution was to buy a network adapter. It works the best and there are no problems. Try searching for a cheap xbox live network adapter on ebay.

Heres the thing with this tutorial. As i have been told, your xbox must go through two firewalls to get to the internet ( your computer's, and the router's). Which is why i have a nat type problem. THE ANSWER TO THE NAT TYPE SOLUTION IS TO BUY A XBOX WIRELESS ADAPTER. I know it is very expensive but its worth it.

actually i didn't spend that much to get xbox live. all what you need to get is a memebership card whic it cost me 50$, then i got a wireless adapter that connects to the xbox wich it cost me 100$ and my father pays the internet; the internet it is not more than 25$. in overall you just need to pay 150$ to play xbox live and i hope your parents are paying the internet and just try to connect!
