  • Note the use of the shotgun...

  • Where did Bill's Mustache go in the opening??? when it's visible when he talks to David.

  • omg sunshine wet is so hot.......

  • That's funny!!! Garvin and Sunshine got theirs!!!

  • Is there any clips of Precious vs Sunshine? I here that was a great feud in Texas.

  • Happy Birthday David!

  • Such a great segment!!! On a side note, God, I miss Sunshine!!!!

  • i would like to see the miz do something like this have to work for cena or orton

  • Absolutely remember this when I was around 13 years old. WCCW wrestling. I remember the match where Garvin had to be a valet for a day. Too funny. Especialy when David shot that shotgun in the air while Garvin was digging holes.

  • Wow! now I know what Jim Cornette meant that the guys from World Class Wrestling working well together and having GREAT matches on his Shoot on World Class Wrestling. The chemistry between Garvin,Sunshine, and David is PURE MAGIC.iT'S hiralous listening to stuck up Jimmy "BELLY ACHE" while David laughs at his predicament!

  • I remember watching this. World Class was fun times. I bet everyone involved had a great time filming this.

  • shut ya trap and dig ya hole,...PULL lol

  • man oh man David was the man

  • yes!!! i was about 9yrs old when i saw this and it is stll funny 30 years later, boy i miss the old days....

  • Awesome. Classic memory. Much love for World Class.

  • he's lucky that it's only a day.It coulda been for 30 days

  • I remember this! It was funny then and its still funny!

  • yeah sunshine was his first valet, in real life she was actually his cousin and precious was his wife..

  • lmaoooo dig holes or else ima shoot ya lmfaoo

  • David and Jimmy were real good friends. They met during David's time in Florida as a heel. David convinced his father (Fritz) to sign Garvin when he became available. And the rest is history. This is a funny segment, especially the stables. "Oh, hell no, I ain't doing that!"

  • This segment was awesome because Garvin and David played their roles perfectly. If this segment took place in 2010, the idiots writing wrestling today would have messed it up, overdid it and found a way to make David a heel and Jimmy a Face by accident.

  • Absolutely hilarious. David when he was heel and when he was here had a HBK/Jericho like charisma.

  • GARVIN'S THE MAN!

i do his strutt everyday baby!

  • Jimmy was such a great entertainer, and I am glad he has a life after wrestling since most arent that lucky. World Class was the best. I loved watching it every Saturday afternoon.

  • David died when I was about three but I watched this on both Brian Harrison and WWE's World Class documentaries and I can clearly see what people mean when they say he would have gone onto greater heights if he'd lived. You can see here that the dude had charisma.

  • All of the main Von Erich brothers had good qualities. David was the talent, Kerry had the good looks, and Kevin was the smart one. David would've been a long term NWA champion if he had lived, and maybe if there wasn't so much tragedy in the family, World Class would still be around. Also, Fritz should have nationalized. He had a good thing, but was married to the old dying territory system.

  • @acehighpat

Dave was actually the smart one too. He was prolific in the office by the time he was only 25 years old. He was the one who basically went out and made the connections to other territories and guys and the was the face of Von Erich brothers, knew talent and was future oriented. Ken Mantell was a good booker, but couldn't exactly be trusted as WCCW found out. David could have ran that office, which was really the only only viable NWA office other than JCP, had he not died.

  • @TNAROHfan

There was a noticeable downturn in the quality of WCCW after David's death. A lot of that has to be attributed to not having Dave around, both in the ring and behind the scenes.

  • As good as they were, imagine how much better the Von Erichs vs Gino and Chris or Dave vs Flair would have been with Dave around? Kevin and Kerry were stars in their own right, but couldn't carry the Von Erich legacy without Dave, that is how important he was to both the Von Erichs and WCCW in general. When Kevin took over the office he was completely out of his element.

  • @TNAROHfan I will agree with that. I have both documentaries and wonder if he had not died what could have been. Perhaps he could have convinced his father to nationalize. Back then World Class was more important to me than WWF/E.

  • ,Lol,"Im Diggin'Im Diggin',Im Diggin!!!",..."Just Like You Sittin' On My Texas Title, nnyYYYAAGHHH!!!",HaHaHaHa! I remember This Incident in WCCW When I was Very Young,Only I read it in an issue of PWI,couldnt get That Promotion on Cable ready in the 80's, .Was always entertaining seeing' Old Fritz's Boys Battle Jimmy,P.S.Hayes,Bamm-Bamm & Dale in some serious Grudge Matches,...R.I.P. Atkinson(s)`\Terry Gordy...

  • Rudyminator the on the "valet for a day" segment is Sunshine and not Precious. Precious did not join Garvin until later. I would like to see more Sunshine videos.

  • David was 6 ft 7 he's the tallest out of all the Von Erich's i like when david says "i understand you well enough Garvin, you stand in my face again i'll KNOCK YOU DOWN!!!!!"

  • man...this is good stuff. Jim Garvin and David Von Erich were amazing to watch. Huge respect from north of the border!!

  • I remember seeing this on tv as a kid. When the fight broke out, it was so exciting to see that on live tv.. So many other shows tired to copy WCCW, but it wasn't the same.

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • 1:50-almost broke a rib laughing! Could you imagine ANYONE showing something like that on any TV program today?? And digging post holes suuuuuuuuuuucccccccccckkkkksss..........

  • ha ha ha ha ha!!!! i never knew that jimmy garvin and precious was david von erich's bitches for 1 day only!!!! lolllllllll lollllllllll this is cool to watch!!!! ha ha ha ha!!

  • Is that dog still alive?

  • David would have been great with the Horsemen

  • Thanks for posting this-I haven't seen this since it aired on tv.

  • Wrestling promotions of today can't come up with dramas as realistic or entertaining as this.

  • It's too hot, I DON'T WANNA WALK!

  • Wow, David was tall. This was a hillarious promo considering this was over 20 years ago. RIP Von Erichs

  • I believe sunshine was Jimmy Garvins cousin. Jimmy Garvin was the step son of Ronnie Garvin. Sunshine turned face when she hired an assistant named Precious. Storyline wise garvin had an affair with Precious and Sunshine turned face. Precious was Garvins girlfriend and latter married him. I believe they are still married.

  • Actually, Jimmy and Precious have been married since the early 70s. And yes, Sunshine is Garvin's cousin.

  • anybody know the date on this fun day for jimmy garvin and sunshine?david was looking so good there at the beginning of the video, with his shirt tucked in.

  • classic stuff. David was a future star, and jimmy has always been funny. The good ole days.

  • What a sport Jimmy Garvin was here!!!!

  • This is hilarious! I love the way Jimmy Garvin keeps complaining about all the chores he has to do. He also has Precious doing all of the hard work. Talk about a real man!

  • That's not Precious. Its his first valet, Sunshine.

  • Sorry about that. As a old-school wrestling fan, I should have known that. Thanks for the correction!

  • Who would win between David von Erich and Hulk Hogan??

  • david would win

  • I would say a draw between Von Erich & Hogan.

  • I would say no, David Von Erich. It's like pitting a real athlete against a steroid-filled "sports entertainer"

  • If you guys are talking about a fight between David and Hogan - if it was a real fight, like in a bar, or out in the country somewhere, only one man would get up from it, and his name is David Von Erich. David was a country boy and was raised tough. Hogan is a celebrity. Big difference.

  • Having a hot blonde chic as my slave to pull my skeet while I sit and shoot is the greatest thing ever (not really the greatest but greatest thing in public I can do).

Just having a chic at the gun range loading and pulling the skeet thrower makes you a cool dude at the range.

And making her husband work while you sit and shoot... even better.

This was the Brian Pillman/Goldust/Terri Runnels angle before you could go really bad like they did.

  • i dont wana walk von erich its hot!!! lol that got me

  • Jimmy Garvin Was Never The WCCW Texas Heavywegiht Champion!!

  • Jimmy Garvin Had It Coming.. This Segment Was Very Funny!!!!

  • wrestling would have been alot different if david was alive,i see it now.this dude was seriously charasmatic

  • I loved when he shoots into the sky. David was def the most charismatic of the Von Erich brothers. If he hadnt died, I wonder if all the other boys wouldve commited suicide.

  • David, I wish you were still here. Wrestling would really be different had you stuck around with us. RIP :o(

  • @Cerebus1975 Not, just David, but Mike, Chris, and Kerry. And who knows what Jack would have done had he lived? Fritz, Jr., maybe?

  • This is classic! I still remember watching this as a kid. This is better than the garbage they promote today.

  • I was about seven or eight years old when this happened. It was so funny. Boy, you talk about the fun days of wrestling!

  • Man, if the WWE dvd on WCCW will be HALF as good as this, it'd be worth every penny.

  • I remember this like it was yesterday. Yes there is a "storyline" but, they focused on wrestling still.

Great memories, please show more of David. R.I.P.

  • That is what I liked about Oldschool Wrestling. Well let me rephrase that, this is what I liked about oldschool NWA. Lots of action and good feuds built around titles and matches. I loved World Class as a kid and my love for it only continues to grow over time. You just don't see alot of good stuff nowdays. Too much crash tv, payoffs are too quick and there are too many ppvs and the wrestling product is watered down. They knew how to create stars back then. The territory system was great.
