i can say this about a comparison between Sephiroth and Luca, the only thing that can be compared is that their mother's fate is what caused them to do what they did.
the difference is Sephiroth whined like a little child, while Luca went on a brutal rampage.
of course its granted that Luca's mother's fate was FAR worse.........FAR worse. I'm talking about how it wasn't even game worse and would have gotten the game a M rating.
@piromaniac9999 I kind of felt bad for Rowd, he seemed to only be motivated by getting a promotion and if you go into a certain house the first time you're in Kyaro, you can meet Rowd's sister, who is blind and he is trying to raise money for an operation on her eyesight.
@lmaobutts He still was pretty selfish and talked about caring for the unicorn brigade as chump deal.
Also:what about leon silverberg? He didn't give a shit who he worked for,as long as he was on the winning side.He supports a war cause as necessary no matter what cause it is and if you can win.He was pretty evil.

It took 8 people to kill Spephiroth 91 if you use Knights of the Round) It took about a few hundred or so people to kill Luca Blight. Let me clarify: about 300 or so bows and arrows, 18 of the strongest soldiers of the Dunan Unification Army, plus a kid with one half of the Rune of the Beggining. I checked, between Suikos 1-4, no other villain has needed THAT much power to go down.

Luca and Kefka are my two most favorite RPG villians. Luca is twisted and acts as the pure face of evil, killing anyone he feels like. Men, Women, Children, he spares no one, and laughs while he does it. Kefka, unlike most RPG villians, has actually succeded in taking over the world and became god. He didn't even have a real motive, just did it because he felt like it. Both are true badass villians in their own right.

He was only powered by his ambition and his rage. Truly an enemy worth hating. I'd like to see another JRPG villain do half as this.

And considering that Culgan wasn't all that fond of Luca, I doubt the story would have been damaged too badly. Might have actually added more tension.
Yeah I know about the rune, it was just a Suikoden 1 reference I made because all the enemy generals pretty much switched side that way. I know Luca didn't carry a rune, except for the Beast Rune (didn't literally carry it though) which was passed down in the Blight dynasty as a gift from Harmonia.
About Culgan, he and Seed were these constant enemies on the battlefield from the very start. You developed a special relation to them and the honorable thing was to settle it all at the end, imo.
Luca Blight's sword is coated with some sort of flammable material. This material is what allows his sword to ignite in flames when using special attacks on your party.
