Diana, Wow great video as usual , tuff luck with the mag button. 2 things U could do. unscrew the button or I could make U a smaller one. I made some smaller ones up for Jessie the last time she came by the shop. John
Yup, I uninstalled the big mag button. Would like to test drive a smaller version so I can avoid shifting my hand so much though. You got one on your website? Couldn't find it.
No the small ones are for customers that need them or request them. I can spin one up tommorow and send it out .give me a shout or e-mail with a shipping adress John
I have found that I do the same thing when installing any kind of "high zoot" magazine releases. I would recommend just running a Glock extended release.
I had the same problem before when I installed a JP Glock extended release on my Glock 34 when I was shooting limited minor. I replaced it with a stock extended release and haven't had a problem since. This might be one of those instances where I'll do the same thing.
I have never had any luck with extended magazine releases. I also have not found a suffiscient benefit to having them on either. I would say get rid of it and run a Glock extended release instead of those "high zoot" ones. ;-)
In the final analysis, you will never do wrong if you have learned something positive from what you have done. It is a balance between training, experience and instinct. Ultimately, it;'s what Bruce Lee called "Mindlessness"(rough translation). Thanks again for your new video. The hat cam gives such a good perspective for the viewer. BTW, is that an extended mag release on your Glock?
You're right. First off, as wrong as things went, I had fun anyways. I set up the USPSA-type match in an effort to get our local members interested...we currently hold IDPA matches. Just seeing them enjoy the whole "shoot em as you see them" approach was enough for me. As for the Glock, it has the extended mag release. I might tinker around with it but it looks like when I have a forced grip, the mag releases...in other words I should improve my grip on the open gun first. BTW Bruce rocks!
