As long as you have twice the amount of scrolls as the # of items you're duplicating, it'll work. If you want to do this many times in a row you'll need different types of scrolls though. Confirmed on Xbox 360, as of now. Thumbs up if works for you as well.
Actually, i just tried skipping doing the glitch over with 4 and go straight to 8 scrolls after using 2, and it dropped 8. or start using 8 scrolls, it'll drop 8 items.

I wouldn't let me post on someones questions, There is lots more things to Oblivion that almost everyone found out how to cheat, glitching, and all the other things. The infinite money cheat was my first glitch and this was my second one, I can duplicate any thing I was al long as its an item, it can duplicate stolen ones also, but it can't duplicate quest items as you can already tell you can't drop them, I tried it on amulet of kings and didn't work.

@HaiDoggie If you mean morally, then yes, doing this would be considered cheating. But if you mean can it get you kicked off Xbox Live, no it isn't cheating. Also because Oblivion isn't an online game.
So does it have to be 100% repaired for weapons and armor? Almost all of mine are at 125% and lately I haven't been able to duplicate them. Also I can't duplicate black soul gems (or at least ones that are filled to grand level) though I'm able to duplicate regular grand soul gems.
@glenneey In theory, yes, but I did recent testing. The bow has to be fully repaired for it to even have a chance to work, but it just doesn't duplicate some items (I couldn't get steel daggers to duplicate no matter what).

I can confirm that the ring glitch still works after patch but I use sigil stones instead of grand soul gems. Also the dupe technique still works after patch. I will also be showing ppl how to glitch into "the maker's world" by Going through the wizard tower where u can get unlimited sigil stones.

well i have patches so money making cheats dont work, but the dupe machine man4 shows correct's that, sorta, buy Apotheosis from rindir's staff's in market district, dupe it, BUT only pick up ONE staff, and keep duping, only picking up one staff each time, and you will get lods of those staff's, which you can sell back for a LOT of money, 600 each time, but considering you spend 5000 and you can keep doing it all you want, its quite good, i found that by misunderstanding the vid, also thanks man
I bumped into this during my time in the hotel. You can abuse this very early on in the game. Then you should do all the mage's guild quest and boom OP character early on in the game.
Ok just a bit of advice this video is pretty sweet but next time edit out all of the times you messed up... everyone else will enjoy it more and people are less likely to leave because youre "wasting time"
I already knew about this glitch but I needed to be reminded on how to properly do it. Since its been a while that I've played Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion.
I usually try to buyout the cheapest scroll which is like a max of 12 I think and buy the most expensive piece of armor that one guy has at the shop "best defense" and duplicate that item to sell for gold. lol

@NUMBER1BEANER123 It depends on how many scrolls you have, If you have 1000 scrolls it will create 1000 items if you have 500 scrolls you'll get 500 items, etc..
@ValkiryeMax If you have the patch. Xbox almost forces the patch upon you, but on PC it's all up to you. So if you have the patch, do this. If not, the arrow glitch will work. (I run PC version without the patch just for that reason =P)

@zanarkand75 You find them as higher levelled dungeon loot, I believe. You can also find them in stock at various magic stores, the easiest being the Mystic Emporium. Also, you can steal from the Mage's Guild for a few of them. If they're empty, you need to use soul trap on a high levelled creature to fill them.

IT DOES work, bethesda said they are NOT patching this glitch again, as it is not a FORCED glitch where the gamer has no choice but to do it. It is with your own choice to do this glitch. I have the GOTY Edition with the expansions, I have completed all expansions, gotten full 1250G, and done almost everything including all daedra quests. I can still do this glitch.
I got the glitch to work, thanks for that. Btw, you don't need multiple scrolls, just more arrows than what you drop. I also noticed a few things that wouldn't glitch... Goblin Shaman staves for example, bows and some types of armor won't dupe. I really don't suggest trying to dupe something with more than 250 arrows, unless it's more arrows, it freezes your system, or at least it does on your xbox.
your level 48... and single. I got 4 million without cheating. I was level 24...and I have a wife and son. But obviously...your achievement is greater.
tried many times. can't seem to get it to duplicate anything for me.. i don't have xbox live so i'm not worried about updates. I just bought the game of the year edition, and loaded on the 2 "DLC's". (Knights of the nine and Shivering isles). I'm double tapping the scrolls (2) and then dropping "leather boots" but only one pair of boots drops. help?
A better and faster way to use that perminate enchantment glitch is to use transendent sigil stones to enchant the ring but be sure to dupe the sigil stone note: you don't need a enchanting alter to use the sigil stones

your doing it wrong on the arrows, its equiped the arrows and bow, pull back an arrow, then push be with out letting go the arrow, the double press A, then go to an item that you want to duplicate, press X on the item that you want to duplicate, then exite out of your inventory then wola there you have it.
Also the number of arrows you have the number of items you want to duplicate, I got 3k of arrows and posions. even foods and picklocks, repair hamer.

What kind of Elder Scroll you have, because i just have the reguler one? also you put it to a test? or maybe you want to people to do your thing? the reason i'm saying this is because you siad " You actually figured it out!", So if you are putting people to a test then you would delete this comment. But it doesn't matter which to use as long as it works right! really it is easy with arrows.
The scroll one works with the newest patches but it can be very time consuming and doesnt work on most items...only on small things like shoes, lockpicks and potions and when you spend 3 minutes picking up 200 potions you'll know what i mean. another one is the arrow duplication one.You'll need to clear cache (look up a video if u dont know how 2) and you pull back your arrow and look at the ground so the objects dont go flying EVERYWHERE and go into ur inventory.
In your inventory try to unequip arrows and it'll say You cannot unequip weapons when attacking. wait for this message to go away and then try again. The same message will come up. Wait for the message to go away again and then drop an item. Then resume your game and when the arrow is released it will spawn the same amount of the item you dropped as your arrows. (e.g you have 2 arrows and use the glitch on an enchanted sword, it'll spawn 2 swords)

P I'm able to sell more items through duplicating strong potions of chock shield and buy more awesome spells, and equiptment.

FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS THE PC VERSION!
Here's how to do the glitch.
Punch and in the middle of punch, drop something like a watermelon and it'll duplicate. But it won't work with armor and weapons.

wut i dont get is in some other vids they do the glitch the same one ur doing but they get like 20 of the item and when u do it u get two and i get two when i do the glitch too so wuts up with that?

@NUMBER1BEANER123 It depends on how many scrolls you have, If you have 1000 scrolls it will create 1000 items if you have 500 scrolls you'll get 500 items, etc..

@ValkiryeMax If you have the patch. Xbox almost forces the patch upon you, but on PC it's all up to you. So if you have the patch, do this. If not, the arrow glitch will work. (I run PC version without the patch just for that reason =P)

@zanarkand75 You find them as higher levelled dungeon loot, I believe. You can also find them in stock at various magic stores, the easiest being the Mystic Emporium. Also, you can steal from the Mage's Guild for a few of them. If they're empty, you need to use soul trap on a high levelled creature to fill them.

Dude, If you remove the patch the bow and arrow trick works, I figured out the scroll way by myself also, but all you have to do is
A. Equip Arrows (And a bow if you want?)
B. Hold fist back and let go and then quickly press B
C. Press X (Drop on arrows twice) and try to unequip them twice (Forgot this step so try both)
D. Drop the item you wanna dupe.
I prefer the scroll method but the other one still works so please don't call us 'dip shits'.

i have a question.
i have the elder scrolls 4 oblivion game of the year edition second disc for the xbox 360.
the one where it lets you go to the shivering isles and the knights of the nine quest.
if i use this disc will i still be able to use this glitch?
i haven't had this game for very long so i don't know.

Also, most things can be cloned at two at a time, arrows can be done five at a time, as it keeps the FPS at an okay speed.

@MrBlurtit I'm using a PS3 and I just did it... I used 58 Chameleon scrolls and used them to duplicate lockpicks to get into Lorkmir's house on a Dark Brotherhood mission :)

IT DOES work, bethesda said they are NOT patching this glitch again, as it is not a FORCED glitch where the gamer has no choice but to do it. It is with your own choice to do this glitch. I have the GOTY Edition with the expansions, I have completed all expansions, gotten full 1250G, and done almost everything including all daedra quests. I can still do this glitch.

You did the fist dupe wrong,
1. Punch
2. Quickly go to inventory
3. go to the arrows and press A and Press X
4.Drop the item that u want to dupe
5.Exit out
6.And it should work

I got the glitch to work, thanks for that. Btw, you don't need multiple scrolls, just more arrows than what you drop. I also noticed a few things that wouldn't glitch... Goblin Shaman staves for example, bows and some types of armor won't dupe. I really don't suggest trying to dupe something with more than 250 arrows, unless it's more arrows, it freezes your system, or at least it does on your xbox.

tried many times. can't seem to get it to duplicate anything for me.. i don't have xbox live so i'm not worried about updates. I just bought the game of the year edition, and loaded on the 2 "DLC's". (Knights of the nine and Shivering isles). I'm double tapping the scrolls (2) and then dropping "leather boots" but only one pair of boots drops. help?

A better and faster way to use that perminate enchantment glitch is to use transendent sigil stones to enchant the ring but be sure to dupe the sigil stone note: you don't need a enchanting alter to use the sigil stones

your doing it wrong on the arrows, its equiped the arrows and bow, pull back an arrow, then push be with out letting go the arrow, the double press A, then go to an item that you want to duplicate, press X on the item that you want to duplicate, then exite out of your inventory then wola there you have it.
Also the number of arrows you have the number of items you want to duplicate, I got 3k of arrows and posions. even foods and picklocks, repair hamer.

What kind of Elder Scroll you have, because i just have the reguler one? also you put it to a test? or maybe you want to people to do your thing? the reason i'm saying this is because you siad " You actually figured it out!", So if you are putting people to a test then you would delete this comment. But it doesn't matter which to use as long as it works right! really it is easy with arrows.

The scroll one works with the newest patches but it can be very time consuming and doesnt work on most items...only on small things like shoes, lockpicks and potions and when you spend 3 minutes picking up 200 potions you'll know what i mean. another one is the arrow duplication one.You'll need to clear cache (look up a video if u dont know how 2) and you pull back your arrow and look at the ground so the objects dont go flying EVERYWHERE and go into ur inventory.

In your inventory try to unequip arrows and it'll say You cannot unequip weapons when attacking. wait for this message to go away and then try again. The same message will come up. Wait for the message to go away again and then drop an item. Then resume your game and when the arrow is released it will spawn the same amount of the item you dropped as your arrows. (e.g you have 2 arrows and use the glitch on an enchanted sword, it'll spawn 2 swords)
