I quite liked the Avantis with the squared-off headlights. They made the front end look more substantial.

Some 1963's had square headlights, and some 1964's had round ones.

yes i beleive 1964 had square headlights.

The square headlight rims would certainly indicate that this would be a 1964 Avanti. I just went by the window sticker and the owner's statements. Thanks for your comments.

@56sghor He has the original docs, with enough research you'll learn there were 63s with square headlights.

@Cavediver762 I know the owner of the car, and he is pretty knowledgeable. If he says it's a 1963, then I'd have to believe him.

Very nice car! Based on the headlights and hood lift, this looks like a 1964 car unless it has been customized.
