@alondra1901 If you read, this one says 1963 while the other clips probably say 1990. They didn't have colour film in 1963.

If you want the version that is closer to the book, watch this one. Most old films are usually closer to that in which they are based off of.

The American version is, well, American. It is based very loosely off the book. I like the American version personally though, so I would recommend it. Haven't watched all of this version yet to have an opinion on it.

This is the version i saw when i was in 10th grade. :'-) I just finished the 1990 verison on YouTube....too much cursing. This one is closer to the book.

ive never liked the idea of a movie following a book exactly. the movie isnt creative if it does that, it just plays things straight from the book with no creativity, and often times it ends up like a 1st grader reading: "i...think...this...was...a...­great...book." and it doesnt flow as it would be in real life: "i think this was a great book." im not talking about the actors, im talking about the way the story flows. with this movie, most of the fault comes from the time it was made, however.
