@paultolor .. Yes, it was WOWW. When I saw the release of these thousands of sky balloons simultaneously I couldn't believe my eyes. Just amazing to see. Hope one day you can see it too.

@greenloverz Celebration of the Loi Krathong Festival at Chiang Mai 2012 will be around 28th November 2012 (full moon). So I think the release of these thousands skyballoons at Mae Jo (University) will be the weekend before. This should then be 17th November 2012.

Hey, is this event free or do we need to pay to enter the Mae Jo grounds?

@darkchild82 . On 29th October 2011 it's for free (gift's are welcome). Be there at 4.30/5 pm and enjoy it with the locals. On 9th November it will be held again. This time specially for the foreigners/tourist. Entrance fee from USD. 100 per person.
