The United States of America is not JUST California. We don't all WANT California's strict government regulation on several aspects of life, including emissions standards. Why not adopt, for example, Kansas' emissions standards as the nationwide standard, or North Dakota's, or many of the other states? Why does California feel they get to decide the amount of government intrusion for the rest of the country?
@wlmmn California's Strict reguoations come from its geography. It has mountains to the east and prevailing winds plow east. This cause everything to get trapped. There are no regulations in florida because it all blows out to sea.
Hmmm...... He drives a gas guzzling dodge challenger right? Funny, I wonder if he means everything he said. And Maria is a Kennedy right?! There something going on here.
Personally I believe Obama has nailed his second term already (without even being sworn in). But I personally think that Colin Powell and Arnold Schwarzenegger are the only people with the skill and capability to be a serious threat to President-Elect Obama in his run for reelection come 2012.
California had the balls to legislate in the 90s, which resulted in the EV1 and Rav4EV. But Big Oil and GM used good old fashioned corruption and litigation lemonade and Californian officials wimped out. Sleezeball GM handed a basic NiMH patent to Chevron on a silverplatter and Chevron sued Toyota to prevent them from using their superior NiMH battery.
The Toyota Rav4EV 100% electric still drives around on highways and street on the original NiMH battery and with over 66000 miles
Imo, California nontheless helps improve the US's battered image around the world, CA is able and willing to switch gear, inovate and take the lead, its a good thing they have the guts to stick to their standard. Cheers to all people in CA and to your Governator(not a fan of Hydrogen personally, its a red herring delaying tactic considering NiMH's been around for over a decade, but no ones perfect)

Haha, I love how Arnold still has the less formal way of talking "I mean, HELLOOO!" haha.
He always knows how to put jokes in between, pure timing. Even though I'm voting for Obama, I still love Arnold, he's one of my heroes :)

I really think Arnold should be allowd to run for President. He means business and I believe could get things done. Thats coming from a Democrat.

1. I believe enough people understand he is not from the United States.
2. I believe that enough people know that at the moment he cannot be elected.
3. However, amendments can be made to change that law. The question is will it be changed most likely not.

Now let's all have pity on GM and give them some of our hard-earned paycheck for a bailout, a company that specializes in drowning individuals.
