  • @Rocketdream7 If you are saved, there should be no resistance to do that. After all, this is only a precursor to heaven! Spread the Word! Be a martyr if necessary!

  • when i hear this song, it gives me insperation to spread the name of jesus to people i dont know... though now adays you get shot or stabbed or stuff like that.

  • really great songg, awesome

  • This has been one of my favorites since i was about 4! I LOVE newsong!

  • Heard it for the first time today! I love it. Let's not keep this song down!

  • Well done, and for sure you can't keep a good man down! Praise God!

  • @fkghi Excellent point! The FLESH was not God it MANIFESTED God. The SPIRIT that was IN Christ was, in fact, GOD! 2 Corinthians 5:19 "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,..." 1 Tim. 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. The name "Jesus" is the manifestation of GOD'S name (John 17:6).

  • RUSS LEE sings with such conviction and joy. So glad he's back with NewSong. Hope to see them in concert sometime soon!!!!

  • Great video for this wonderful song! A great witness tool good work

  • wtf is this shit?!?!?

  • @ssean1290 ...tsk...on Easter Sunday, too...you don't even deserve a malevolent retaliation. *shakes head sadly* Just say you don't like the song.

  • @ssean1290 Actually, Sean, don't even say you don't like the song. In fact, why are you even commenting? Why are you even on this channel? Do you go to dinner at someone else's home and insult the hosts after they serve you the very best they have for dinner? I bet you do. Some people have no manners. The anonymity of the Internet is not an excuse for bad manners.

  • I really like this song too by Newsong but I'm wondering why noone has done a video with the song, "Wonderful One" by Newsong? That is the one by this group I really love! If you have the song, will you do a video with it and let me know when about to post? THANKS SO MUCH!

  • @iwillrocknroll4eva Thanks for the comment, I will keep your song in mind.

  • @major77747 Oh thank you very much! It is really a great song.

  • @iwillrocknroll4eva Thanks for comment, will keep song in mind.

  • i listen to this song 5 or 6 times a day , seriously .

  • Beautiful song!

  • HE'S ALIVE BECAUSE HE LIVES IN ME....

  • i love this song so much im going to sing it tommorw at church :):):)

    Ancient of Days,

many names without number, The Amen -- Faithful and True.

    Thank you for such a beautiful song, Ps-alms 53, 84, & 139.

  • If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Obviously, yes! In a similar way, God is God whether or not you see or hear him :)

  • this song inspires me i once gave up all hope in ever succeeding in my dreams and then when i herd thiss song it made me very hopeful again

    it light my fire again

  • Unless you have a pasion for this walk it means nothing. He didn't come here for nothing. When I heard this song it truely blessed me. This is how I feel the world looks at him. They want to proclaim they are Christians and go to church but do you really want it his way or say you go to church but on your grounds. A walk with God means putting down the things of this world and really following him. But a lot of people don't want to do that. They want to proclaim Christianity but live their way.

  • @skirts777 amen we have to live this life on his terms in order to please Him.

  • everyone shpuld belive in christ becuse when he come everyone that has faith in the lord get to go home and sir this fluffy guy ur not going to make an arguement about us beeing judge mental cause we have this one thing it is christ and try and try again you will not succeed in it stop while ur a head of ur self

  • AMEN praise and glory to the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world!!!

  • listen to this it says something

  • Beautiful!!

  • GREAT VIDEO. Thank you

  • I love this song because it reminds us that Jesus died for our sins and He gave us the freedom to choose. In the end, the world couldn't silence Him and couldn't keep our Lord down. Praise the Lord for His mercy.

  • he has a nice voice

  • cool song!

  • @wataasholeur2 , you are blind if you think athiests/agnostic do not kill. There is no relgion (or absense of it) where there are no murderers. There will always be bad people no matter what they claim to believe.

The difference between someone with religion and someone without is the sense of brotherhood towards fellow men. A TRUE religious person will help someone out in a heartbeat, most athiests will ask whats the point. And the Fluffy is right, Richard Owens named them dinosaurs.

  • Truth is truth no matter if you believe it or not.

  • can someone put, thats what mercy is by newsong on youtube or something please lol

  • Very encouraging! My God is alive! Thank you!

My favorite group is: NEW SONG!!!!!

  • @wataasholeur2 plz explain dinosaurs to me also, since evolution teaches that dinosaurs evolved from chickens and a nature disaster killed all of the dinosaurs and the chickens still survived?

  • are you a blind faith kinda guy? you explain dinosaurs to me!! any bible references to them? and dont give that job nonsense. christians believes in a 2000 year old fairytale written by 4 drunks and endorsed pedo priests.

    sleep tight now

  • @wataasholeur2 The bible never actually uses the word dinosaur, however it does mention tannîyn which is translated into "dragon," "serpent," "sea monster," or "venomous snake." in genesis 1:21 it in Gods word translation it says "So God created the large sea creatures, every type of creature that swims around in the water and every type of flying bird. God saw that they were good."

  • @wataasholeur2 the bible never uses the word dinosaur because the word dinosaur wasnt coined until 1842 by Sir Richard Owen, dinosaur comes from deinos wich means "terrible" or "fearfully great" or "formidable" and sauros ("lizard" or "reptile") so from its greek roots it means terrible lizzard, which the bible said tannyn which can also be translated to great lizard so it does mention dinosaurs.

  • @thefluffy7 u also seem to believe that the bible was written by man, which it was in a sense, but it was God inspired and only written down by man. im sure uve heard this arguement before but the bible is 66 books, was written in 3 diffrent languages (greek, hebrew, and Aramaic), on 3 contntents (Asia, Africa, and Europe) written by 40 diffrent authors most of whom never met each other, over the course of around 1500 years.

  • @thefluffy7 it contrains historical events, places, and dates from a time when many people couldnt even read/write. It would be impossible for a single man or a group of men living in the same time period to have that much knowledge of history.

btw if u could plz replie to my comments instead of just making a comment that would be great since i dont get a notification if u dont make it a replie

  • the problem with you and ur lot is many things but the worst is ur ability to keep coming back sighting ur Righteousness. sleep easy, i dont feel the need to bang on random peoples doors and tell em how it should be. my world is under control, you need control. 66 books, 3 languages, 3 continents, 40 authors you say!!! i dont see atheists or agnostics killing each other. i do see 75% of the usa prison population as christians, FACT. god loving? ha ha, btw 0.2% in us prison are atheist. go figure

  • @wataasholeur2 u ignored my reply on dinosaurs and the credit to the bible, i wish u wouldnt do that. the 1st part of ur reply refers to us going door to door trying to talk to people about the bible. For arguement sake lets say u saw a house on fire and the ppl inside werent aware it was on fire, u would (hopfully) try and get their attention so that they can get out, eventually ud probably throw a rock in the window or somthing. same thing for us, we r trying to save people from Hell, honestly

  • @thefluffy7 (continued) we should be more extreme than what we do now. as far as ur stats id like to see a source. however we do have prison ministries, its likly that a major pecentage of that 75% became Chirstians after they were in prison. even so its diffrent to claim to be a Christian and actually be 1, let alone a Christian in the will of God. i could kill a man in ur name that wouldnt make u a bad person those "Chirstians" may not actually be Christians.

  • what if peeps dont wanna be SAVED? your still gonna try, right? Righteousness and BS. gonna save the muslin too? the jew? you heard of iris robinson? look her up, a typical hypocritical god fearing lying witch, put a country years behind because of biblical nonsense. btw she's the wife of the leader. the controllers, spread the word. they got ya where they want ya. i take ur american? good luck with that

  • @wataasholeur2 i would try and save any1 i could, they may not want to be saved now but they will wish they had been saved later, and if i dont at least try then i should be blammed.

  • so u are a yank! not alot between the salute and the zig heil. uneducated, soulless, robot. you notice how the world has changed lately? same applies to religion. its almost dying out. here comes the sun. people are waking up to the nonsense. seriously save urself and those who care, the rest are just being nice. really we wanna say fuck off. seriously

  • @wataasholeur2 u say "people are waking up to the nonsense." but it is the opposite, people are closing their eyes to the truth, u are an example of this. when i made historical replies to ur post about dinosaurs instead of replying you ignored it. When i gace facts about the authenticity of the bible u ignored it. When i posted links that show stats on morals u ignored it and insulted me. instead of having a debate you are being willfully ignorant, im not doing this for my gain, but to help u

  • @thefluffy7 Peace brothers, enjoy the song. You tried, but we cannot convince him. We can just pray about it.

  • @wataasholeur2 You don't see atheists killing each other? Stalin ring any bells? Pol Pot? You are confusing "religion" with the teachings of Jesus. People do a lot of things in the name of Jesus that Jesus doesn't have anything to do with. Your world is under control? Okay... So, what does that have to do with spiritual matters?

  • @thefluffy7 Hey, that's very interesting. I never knew that.

  • God is Good All The Time!

  • I love this song!

    Praise Jesus!

  • NO, you can't keep Jesus down!

  • this video is 100% true. the reason that God sent Jesus to this earth is so we could be with him. Since he was perfect, only he could save us. I LOVE JESUS!!!!!

  • Fantastic song. Thanks God for letting me hear this!

  • You can say you don't believe it, but doesn't change a thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @prvs1717 love it!!! how are you going to spend eternity, smoking or non?

  • @prvs1717 oh yeah!!! :D

  • who have newsong - evrey day's another day PM me plzzz

  • I LOVE this song!!!! Thanks so much for posting!!

Oh, and I agree with topgun1544 & bethiecs. Jesus IS the only way to God.

  • I don't know about these other comments, but I LOVE this song! It makes me happy each time I hear it-Thank for posting!

  • Oh man thats for posting this song!!! i remember when i was like 8 me and my 2 brothers would listin to this on the way to church!! thats alot for posting God Bless And GIT-R-DONE!!!!

  • thanks forthe post!! i love Newsong and saw them in concert..

  • ha! i did too! They came to Bell. County High school for the mount laurel festival. (Yea i dont know how they got them to such a small town...but they did!)

  • When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled. The LORD's anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.

    1 chronicles 13:9

i'm sure you can argue your point no matter what the proof so have fun being delusional

  • Facemelter99, I've studied the Bible and have consulted God on what everything means. The one response I always get from Him - that He never wanted those people to die. I'll take what He's telling me over what you are telling me anyday.

  • God has caused the flood because there were so many bad people around. Noah was the only one that seemed still good in God's eyes, also the rainbow is a promise from God that he won't ever let it happen again. Meaning he DID let it happen. And if you still don't believe it, why would God only save Noah, would you say he's unable to save the whole world?

  • God defienetly caused the flood you should read Genisis to find that out

  • Well, the flood certianlty did happen. And God made the earth, and He knew before time that the Flood was going to happen. If you call that causing it, then yes He did. But otherwise it would be like saying God caused the tornado in Kansas and He's the reason some people died. He loves them and He's the reason any of us are still alive today.

  • I'm not sure what the flood has to do with this video, but I'll throw my 2 cents in. I've never believed God caused the flood. He would never hurt His people - especially not kill them. The flood happened, that doesn't mean God caused it. God saved Noah and his family - He didn't have too. They showed their faith in Him and He blessed them by saving their lives. He could have let all Human life end right there, but He didn't. Because He loves us.

  • you can't throw out the flood or Sodom and Gomorrah.God destroyed those. However to say that they make God have faults is wrong. Have you heard the this question? How could a God of love let all the horrible things happen in the world? the real question is why does he let you get away with all the sins you have done? think about it! If God was to get rid of all the bad things in the world then the world wouldn't exist. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 8:28

  • God doesn't hurt nor does He kill people. People bring bad things like the flood and the upcoming Tribulation period upon theirselves,or, I should say upon ourselves. All we like sheep have gone astay, from God. We have sinned against His Holy word. However, HE made a way to escape ANY punishment. His Salvation is provided in Jesus Christ who died for our Sin. Jesus Christ, The Savior of the World. Ask Him to be yours today!

  • @VAFB5 Deuteronomy 32:39 "See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand." God wants the best for people. But He DOES take vengeance. People pay the consequences for their actions.

  • God had everything to do with the flood. He allowed the flood to destroy the earth so people could see that having faith in Him will lead you in the right direction. He also allows bad things to happen so us sinners can learn from our mistakes and grow in our walk.

  • If God never let any thing bad happen, we'd all be living in a perfect paradise, and then what fun would life be?

  • you're dumb, God killed people all the time in the old testament. you're making up a pretend God based on your misguided human morals and that fact that the thought of God killing someone makes you feel uncomfortable. He isn't so concerned about our phisical well being as we think he is, He has a deeper and more signifigant concerns than this petty mortal body.

  • God has never killed anyone. Study the Bible and let God into your heart while doing it. He'll explain it better than I can.

  • Maybe God had a reason he did what he did. Just because you haven't figured it out yet, please don't assume "he has his faults also". How about some faith. I've found when I start thinking that way I only later discover that I was mistaken. Have faith in God, he does things for a reason. In the case of the flood, he couldn't have the seed of a woman tainted with the son's of god's DNA. In case of overturning tables, he stated his reasons and I agree with him.

  • Girlefriend has 116 million views while this only has 37k, im saddened by america's priorities

  • i wish i could like in the mediveal times and wish that i could live during Jesus's time but i am currently living in his time due to the fact that he is always alive and allways will be inside of us all

  • What a wonderful song! God Bless!

  • Praise the Lord! Jesus is the most unique person to ever live. No one has done what he's done! Glory to God!

  • Can't keep a good man down

    love it

  • I love this song.

  • Oooh does that mean my middle name is holy? (Hosanna)

  • This is what I found out Hosanna means. And it's a cool definition:

From the Aramaic religious expression הושע נא (Hosha' na') meaning "deliver us" in Hebrew. In the New Testament this was exclaimed by Jesus when he first entered Jerusalem.

  • For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)

  • there never is a point in arguing about religion because humans are afraid that there is nothing after life. i choose not to worry or care about that. if there is a god then there is, if not then who cares. Life is too short to be arguing about stupid stuff like religion. But still im atheist and even i think that this song is inspiring.

  • I agree, don't argue about religion. But God is not religion. He is so much more than that. He's not just a nice place to go when you die. He is in you now. And He can change you and empower you. With Him in your life you can find true peace and happiness. You'll enjoy life more than you ever have before. God is real and He lives in us. Right now.

  • @silentkillra The problem is that "if there's a God" and He has a plan for you and you ignore it you don't get a "do over." This is the opportunity. I agree with you that religion is "stupid stuff." Remember it was the religious people of his day that executed Jesus. But seeking after truth is never stupid. I appreciate your position as an atheist. I was an atheist too, until it got to the point where it took more faith to believe in science...

  • heard this song a yr ago and still hooked on it to this day awsome

  • Can't keep a good man down..."OR His followers"...We win people read the last chapter.

  • Because of the internet (and youtube!) atheism is on the rise.

    Praise be!!

  • @ourvinylcollection Really? How does the Internet and Youtube cause people to become atheists? Is it because people stop thinking because they're busy watching the latest Chad Vader or Annoying Orange video?

  • We are from the earth its self. God told Moses to take off his sandels for he was standing on holy ground. God also made us from the earth so then are we not the holy ground? oh ya great song :)

  • i am sooo blessed i grew up how i did the cross culd not keep him down i am auditioning with that song and i might get to sing christmas shoes with newsong!!!

  • WOW THIS SONG IS GREAT !!!!

  • The only songs better than this, are "Arise my Love" by Newsong and "Thank You" by Ray Boltz.

    Rock On NewSong!!!

  • This the most amazing song!!!! Definitely not ashamed to blast this one in the car!

  • sorry pressed the wrong button i agree with your comment rj :P

  • I'm personally into the more hardcore-sound of the Christian music genre, such as The Devil Wears Prada, Demon Hunter, etc, but this song is very good in my opinion.

I'm in a hardcore Christian band myself, and we were actually thinking of covering this song to get the message out to the younger generations who aren't interested in this "style" of music.

Our music is for Christ, and even if other people can't understand it, He knows it's beautiful and that it's for Him.

  • You're a mockery.

  • whatever you say...it just makes good Christian lyrics mix into the world and become like the world...and frequently in many songs of hardcore christian rock they use holy names and such in very blasphemus ways.

  • They're a mockery why?

The same instruments that are used to play whatever genre of Christian music you listen to are just played differently.

Vocal chords, saying the same things that your genre of Christian music say, just in a different way.

How is that a mockery? Because you don't like that type of music?

I'm a Christian, and I know Christian Hardcore bands are just as devoted to Christ as any other.

  • because they usually put vulgar words in there. And the music is pleasing to the hearer but not nescessarily to God.

  • I don't know one Hardcore Christian band that puts any Vulgar words into their lyrics.

Look up The Devil Wears Prada, Demon Hunter, The Word Alive, Impending Doom, Blessed Is He, Shaken, or any other Hardcore Christian band's lyrics.

You find ONE vulgar statement in any of their lyrics and I will admit that I am wrong.

And pleasing to the listener but not God? Did God tell you what kind of music He liked? Does it state in the Bible anywhere his music preference?

    I don't think so. Sorry.

  • Think about this...Back when the Bible was written, they didn't have all this different kind of music. However, music sends a message in both lyrics AND music. It's the MESSAGE that's important. Does the hardcore music make you want to praise God? Does it put you in worship mode? Because if it doesn't, you shouldn't be listening to it because you aren't thinking about God. If it does, praise and worship away.

  • Considering after we play we have a Bible Group for those at the show that want to know more about God and the Christian Faith, I'd say it does put us in, as you call it, "worship mode."

Not all music that I myself listen to makes me think about God, but that doesn't mean I can't listen to it or enjoy it. That's like saying if one of your favorite movies isn't about God, you shouldn't watch it.

  • Your are 100% right

  • God tells you what is pleasing to him.

Anything that stirs anger, fear and discontent won't be of God therefore isnt pleasing to him.

    A simple test.

when you speak, listen to music etc. when you suddenly feel cold, the goosebumps are rising or your stomach is suddenly queasy, that's the other side.

God/the spirit whatever you choose to call him will give you a feeling of being hugged, warm and peaceful. The Almighty never gives a spirit of fear this is how you know what is pleasing to God.

  • I'm not arguing with any of you. It's stupid, and pointless. I know I'm right, so there's no use in going on about it with a bunch of fanatics.

  • Um.... Who are you to speak for God? And God has often got a lot to do about fear. You may need to reread your bible. Not all of Jesus is warm and cuddly. As a matter if fact, very little about Jesus is warm and cuddly feelings. I love my God, and I am willing to worship him in any way, even hardcore Christian way.

A lof of their songs have to do with our relationship and how we need to improve. They can be very powerful if you like that music.

  • Ginny,

The bible clearly says God does not give a spirit of fear. No wonder people think Christians are idiots. They can't wait to jump on anything and everything. A question was asked about discernment and I answered it.

  • Actually, if you look all in psalms, or in Job, or in any part of the new testament, it often speaks of a fear of the almighty God. 'And whosoever fears his name' is often said through many parts of scripture. It also says that you should not judge, so you really aren't in any way in the right here. I didn't say the songs were for everyone. Just that they can be powerful for those who like that music, and it does reach a whole new group of believers with worship.

  • I don't think God wants us to fear Him. What's to fear? He loves us so much we could not possibly understand it. He wants nothing more than to help us.

Plus, fear back when the Bible was written meant something else. Whenever I read a verse like that, I always see it as God is more powerful than we could ever be, so all we have to do is trust in Him and everything will be fine.

  • it means be afraid of comiting sins

becuse it's as bad as the prison gard hitting him jesus

the thing is he dosnt want us to be afraid of him but afraid of insulting him becuse its so terrible

  • Yeah... You know, the bible means what it says. Read through Job: The message is quite clear. He is a powerful and mighty God. There is a lot to fear. He put Job through unbelievable torture to show Satan that his followers would hold on to His name. Has it ever occured to you people that David, Asa, Hezekia, Job, even all the disciple loved God, but also feared Him in all His glory. He is beyond our understanding and it is scary, but he loves us, yes. We should still have a holy fear.

  • I never thought He did those things to Job. Bad things happen to people. What God did to Job was help him get through that very hard time in his life. Then He gave Job another family.

I guess what I don't get is - that it's not possible to love someone and do horrible things to them at the same time. That's not love. God is only love - he can't hate.

And one thing I do know foe sure - though, Ginny, you probably disagree with me on this - is that God would never, ever, hurt us. Not Ever.

  • I didn't mean God would hurt us and I didn't mean that God did those things: though he did give Satan permission to. I meant at the end when God was talking to Job about how he shouldn't question him because He has made all the universe with just words, and he could defeat the Leviathan with only one word. It is a reverant, holy fear, not like 'omg, don't kill me!' fear. He said that Satan couldn't kill Job, but he could do whatever else he wanted. So Job lost everything. Then he questioned God.

  • Yep, I think I agree with all that, actually. Job is such a great book in the Bible, because it shows no matter the horrible things that happen to us, there is always hope. God can give us more than we ever had in the first place.

  • It is possible that God is only love.....however it is possible he has his faults also. He destroyed the earth in anger with the flood from Noah's ark and when Jesus was in the temple, he was angered at the people selling things in God's house and ended up overturning the tables and driving them out. Maybe God is only love.....but he has his moments too.

  • True he did those things....but there not faults, God is fully perfect! He NEVER sins he is completely pure. Anger is not really a sin. sin comes from the intent of the heart! and God is all love like you said. so that makes it impossible for him to sin......

  • anger is not a sin, but to act out in anger is a flaw. Anything with a flaw can not be perfect if im not mistaken.....as far as i saw it, Jesus got angry when he saw the people selling animals in the temple. He acted out in that anger when he flipped the tables, released the animals and drove the merchants out. Of course they were wrong for selling them in a house of prayer, but he wasnt right to drive them out in the way he did....this is just how i see it of course and if you can explain it...

  • Jesus never acted out in anger. He's God.

  • So Joshua subdued the whole region, including the hill country, the Negev, the western foothills and the mountain slopes, together with all their kings. He left no survivors. He totally destroyed all who breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded. Joshua 10:40

  • But just so you know, all these things can depend upon interpretation. You have to remember that the Bible was orignally written in two entirely different languages and in a time long ago. God could have just as easily told Joshua to subdue the inhabitants anf joshua took that to mean kill them. Or maybe 'no survivor's' and 'destroyed' don't mean death. There is just no way, we, as humans, could ever know. Only God knows, so I'll trust Him anyday.

  • Oh, boy how did that happen! I wrote those last two posts under GeeWindu's account, not my own! So sorry!

  • how do you know? For all we know, he was a random prophet claiming blasphamy. You act on blind faith instead of thinking about what the truth actually is. He obviously acted in anger....he had no other reason to do what he did, flipping tables and such.

  • 63301, blind faith is the best kind. To believe in Jesus when everything tells you shouldn't. To follow your heart to God and listen to Him, even when others think you're crazy. This is what faith is. Believing when the facts can't tell you the truth. You have to take a leap of faith to believe in God - and when you jump you don't kow if you're gonna fall or fly. Well, with God, everytime you are going to fly. Again, and again, and again - isn't that just amazing?

  • well ive tried to put my faith in god. If you are going to use that analigy, thats fine. Every time i have tried to take this "leap of faith" God would end up catching me, only to put me back on the ledge where i started. I like to look at facts because you have no reason to be disapointed. Having the truth in front of you is better than being given riddles and being told to "solve these for happiness"

My experiences with religion arent great so to each his own...its just not for me.

  • 63301, Don't think of Jesus as a religon. He walked here on Earth with us. There's more facts to support this than there is to support Ceaser exsisted. If you never take a chance, then you're never really living, as the saying goes. Sure, some times you are going to fall. Some times your going to be dissapointed. But you can't hide from it forever. You have to take risks, have to have faith. That's what life's all about. Faith, hope and love, the greatest of which is love.

  • I do not doubt that Jesus walked on this Earth. What i doubt is that he was the son of God and that he performed the miracles. I have my personal problems with the Catholic faith. Lets just say that the lifestyle i live isnt exactly liked by the church....and my boyfriend can confirm this. You say its about love, but two men loving each other obviously isnt cool with the church. I like this song. Its true that Jesus was a good man. No, he is not the son of God

  • You don't have to go to church to be a Christian. Being a Christain is accepting that there is someone greater than you out there. And that Somone loves you more than you will ever be able to understand. Yes, Jesus is God. He came down to Earth to die for us. In dying he was able to take away all our sins. All we have to do is ask him to take them, and then we can be free. In taking that first step, we can begin to feel free. And that is the most wonderful feeling in the world.

  • The thing is that I do not believe that Jesus was God. God is a perfect being, and no human being is and have ever been perfect. He may have been a good man, heck mother theresa was a good woman, but that doesn't make her a reincarnation of mother mary. I guess I just dont understand it because I wasn't there....but i can tell other people the things ive done. it really doesnt make me feel any better.....i did the action, and the guilt is a consequence of it.

  • I have only been a christian for a few years, but realizing that Jesus is the son of God, and giving your life to him takes a lot of faith. It might seem hard to beleive, but it is the most incredible thing in the world! you said that you don't feel anybatter after confessing your sins, but have you ever repented of your sins? It is good to acknowledge them, but wonderful forgiveness can be found through repentance. I will pray that you find truth!

  • I have confessed what the church considers sins. Though a majority of them, no, I'm not sorry for them. Why? Because though they aren't the best decision that could be made, they are human nature. I'm not going to feel sorry for something like that, including feeling and showing love for a person of the same sex. I don't feel sorry for what the church calls sins because the ones ive broken, I would not consider sinfull.

  • 63301, confessing sins to a church means nothing. You have to give your sins to God for it to count. And to do that you have to first believe He is God and He has the power to forgive you and heal you. God knows what real sins are. He knows why people commit them. No church, no person, can truly ever know this. Only God can, so to figure out what a sin is and what it's not, you have to consult God. He'll tell you. Deep within your heart.

  • Only one person was perfect - Jesus. No other will ever be like him, no other ever was like Him. The Bible takes a lot of time to show you how people messed up - especially the good people like Moses and David and Paul, who all made serious mistakes - at least two out of the three were murders. This is how it's shown in comparison to Jesus, who couldn't make a mistake because He is God. Can you understand the love God has for you, for Him to come down from Heaven to live on a sinful Earth?

  • The bible says. And harry Potter says that witchcraft and wizzadry exist. The difference is that one exists and one doesnt....at least people think one exists. So what I want to know, is where are the miracles. Where is God's love in my life? when i find that, I may believe. until then, im not so sure on any of this.

  • God's miracles are all around. I have no doubt He has performed miracles in your life, just as He has in mine. Say you were running late for work one day. You got stuck in traffic and there was an accident up ahead. If you weren't late, that could have been you in the accident. God saved you. This happens too many times and in too many different ways for it to be a coincidence. All you have to do is open your eyes and look around you. They are there, you just have to know where to look.

  • If the person hadn't been driving recklessly, then they would be safe. where is the miracle in the other person's life? why can't god be fair with the distrabution of his miracles? no....saving me from an accident is no work of god. its the wrecklessness of another driver. You have to do better than that to convince me of miracles

  • I can't convince you of anything, 63301. Only God can. But you asked why did the other person not get saved? Everyone, everywhere, can't always be saved. Bad things happen. If they didn't we would already be living in Heaven. There would be no need for Earth. Bad things happen, and we don't like them. God doesn't like them, either, and he sheds tears over every bad thing. But if he always saved us, all the time, he would have to take away our free will. Would you want to live like that?

  • God can not control people. that is what free will is about. The fact that i was not in the accident is not a miracle, it was the fact that i left when i did. No voice in my head telling me not to leave...nothing. Human actions make things happen, not the work of god. I was not trying to ask why he wasnt saved, because he couldnt have been saved due to the human actions that were made to cause it.

  • But doesn't all this happen way to often to just be coincidence? When you lose your balance at the top of the stairs, what keeps you from topaling over and breaking your neck? Skill, luck? Every single time? All miracles don't have to be eye opening. Miracles can happen in the little things. They can be anything. They're right there in front of you, but you arn't seeing them as miracles that they truly are. You are still here and healthy and happy and that in itself is a miracle.

  • Where is the line where you have too much luck? You don't think it's possible to have that much luck? You must be a very happy person to be able to put so much faith into God. I have tried to do that, and it just hasn't worked out for me. Why? Because whenever I put faith in God, all I got out of it was disapointment. I wish I could have faith like yours but i guess not....so instead, I just believe what is logical. God doesn't stop me from falling down stairs. I stop myself.

  • But everytime? For stairs, for car accidents, for every other time you were just in the slightest bit of danger? To me that happens way to often to think I'm the only reason I'm still alive today. Not once has my luck run out in all these years. That's something amazing.

63301, if you want to email me or something, we can talk about this in more detail. What happened that led you in dissapointment when you tried to believe in God? Maybe I could help shed some light on the matter.
