It's hard to find words and speak the words you think you might be able to say ......I think Dennis Rader finally got his "walk of fame" as one of the most infamous serial killers and proud of his accomplishments.

I'm not religious, but I have to say that I hope Kevin is able to be fully blessed for the rest of his life. I was very moved by his statement here, and I feel very sorry for any body who would have the audacity to make negative comments.

Thats the whole thing, god isnt in control... he has control, and has the ability to control, but were beyond his control. right now hes a mere spectator, he watches us and occasionally watches over us, but he cannot intervene directly. he will not intervene directly. just have faith, and try to live a good life, bad things will happen, but just because they do doesnt mean god does not exist, it just means bad things happen.

Of all the victims that spoke at this I respect Kevin Bright the most. He seems like a really great guy, and he was personally a victim himself of BTK. I like how he reminded Rader that he would go to hell if he was still in his sins when he died instead of just saying "OHHH YEAH PERVERT YOU'LL BURN IN HELL FOR SURE!!"

The truth of the matter is that it is psychologically easier for people to believe these inane notions than to believe that either they, or another person, can have vital influences on the lives of them and their families. If they accept that thought, then they see how fragile a living being is. A lot of people simply cannot grasp such an idea. Also, they maintain less guilt and responsibility in their lives if they believe that a deity is in control. Religion is for the weak and powerless.

Making this statement takes a lot of courage on Kevin's part. He's facing the man that attacked both him and his sister. And Kevin is an extremely intelligent man, not that you'd know. He's married to my grandma Sharon. He's very quiet and doesn't talk a whole lot and he's very smart. He might have trouble addressing the issue as straight faced as you prefer but I would like to see you go through that and do a better job than he has. He's a wonderful, sweet kindhearted man.

When they caught Rader, it brought back all of the memories from SO many years ago and he still has to deal with things that affect him EVERY day. I spent a month with him and my grammy and he was NOT exaggerating the lasting effects on his digestive system and everything...it's horrible but he is such a sweet person despite all of the things that happened where some people constantly have anger. It's admirable how he handles himself.
