  • Answer Is 2. No formal mechanical schooling, backyard mechanic.

  • Books, Internet, passion and mistakes.

A learning experience is one of those things that says, "You know that thing you just did? Don't do that."

  • are you a mechanic?

or do you just had a good amount of knowledge and know what your doing?

  • Also your not gonna find a 40 year old car in good shape. And if someone restored it, you may end up redoing it. You know, like shoddy patches or cans of bondo smeared over rust. Good luck with that. A real un misrepresented car will cost money.

  • It took 6 years of 4-5 hr-days/ 5 days a week. 3-5 months off to do other stuff. Cost was about 30-40 grand. cost excludes the car itself. Which I bought 30 years ago on a trip to San Diego.

  • I love this car. Two person questions. How much did it cost and how long did it take. I'm looking for a cheap 1973 camaro. Hopefully not as bad as the way yours looked before all the hard work. Let me now

  • Oh sheeeeesh I spy a 69' z28 7:55. I love what you did with this car. This is what I want to do with mine when I grow up except I wanna put a ls1 corvette engine and 6-speed manual in it. Please tell me this is your daily driver!!!

  • @rydefixies sorry I live in Chicago, It's not my daily driver. we are getting 24" of snow right now. Thanks for the nice comments.

  • Beautiful car man!

  • @toy71camaro

    Thank You

  • This is by far the most gorgeous car I have seen. Amazing attention to detail. I am in the process of customizing a 2002 Silverado and I have an '84 Camaro that I want to restore and modify. Sadly I am only 18 and do not have funds to do that just yet, but I will get there after I attend Wyotech and hopefully get a career in customizing cars. Great job. Us "do it yourselfers" are a rare breed. I have watched all of your build up videos and it just takes my bread. Way 2 go.

  • I didn't have any money when I was 18 either. Thanks for the comment. Just develope your skills. you'll do great. Wear a mask and eye protection. Breathing is almost as important as seeing. LOL

  • Nice work!!

  • @Rarerat

    Thank You

  • do me a favor, never sell this, after all the work you've done it will only make you sick if you do. I did a '69 camaro years ago, I'll try to put the pictures on soon, I'm at the wrong house right now

  • They will bury me in it. But probably not, it's willed to my son. I think he would want it above ground.
