Matisyn is better on the record, but Chandler has a lot more energy live. He also fits the band's new direction better. People who say Evans Blue suck now never really liked them, just their singer. Music is more than a voice, and if the only reason you liked Evans Blue was Matisyn, listen to his band Parabelle.
There's no denying he's one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time, but Evans Blue is a 5-member band, not a singer-songwriter band with backup players.

Kevin's got a great voice & all, but you're totally right. Dan's got SO much more energy on stage (even while sick) than Kevin usually did. At first when they were all still getting along well he had more, but as time went on you could see & feel the tension within the band. And Dan is a much better fit for the direction they're headed :-)

I just found out a week ago that Kevin isn't singing for them any longer. That's horrible news. We have been waiting for their newest release for a while now. No matter whom they get to sing for them, it won't be the same band at all. Thanks for posting this song. It's great.

yeah hes a good singer but if you listen to "sick of it" it sounds so generic, and sense it was the first song they released everyone heard it and said he was a bad singer.
I like the new album's lyrics but I'm not quite sold on his voice yet. It's not BAD, it's just that he brings a whole new sound to the band and it's going to take a while for fans of EB (and Kevin's, for that matter) to get used to. It's just different is all. Sick of It and Bulletproof are two great singles, imo.

That is really bad news about Kevin. I found out about this band because someone told me that they did a cover of a Tori Amos song - Caught a Lite Sneeze. I started to check them out and loved them. I was able to download some of their songs from FrostWire and share them when I can.

Was it live or on TV? Because I watched My Chem Romance live on TV and it sucked. I saw them live a year later and they were phenomenal!
Seeing them in person changed EVERYTHING. To truly experience Evan's blue live you need to have seen them live in person.

i love kevin matisyn, but i think its kinda unreasonable and a bit ridiculous when people say chandler sucks and his lyrics dont back up their sound anymore... i like his voice and lyrics alot too

yeah hes a good singer but if you listen to "sick of it" it sounds so generic, and sense it was the first song they released everyone heard it and said he was a bad singer.

I like the new album's lyrics but I'm not quite sold on his voice yet. It's not BAD, it's just that he brings a whole new sound to the band and it's going to take a while for fans of EB (and Kevin's, for that matter) to get used to. It's just different is all. Sick of It and Bulletproof are two great singles, imo.

I like the new lead singer, I even like the new Evans Blue, but that's the point, I don't think they're counted as "Evan's Blue " Anymore because Kevin's voice and amazing lyrics made it unique! Now they sound like "mainstream" rock music, oh well

I fucking love this song. The rest of the band made a huge mistake letting Kevin go. they don't have the lyrics to back up the sound anymore.

One of my favorite bands ( next to Escape the Fate ) and this is a great song. The only problem I can find in this is the line " When your gone, your gone, and now your gone"

That is really bad news about Kevin. I found out about this band because someone told me that they did a cover of a Tori Amos song - Caught a Lite Sneeze. I started to check them out and loved them. I was able to download some of their songs from FrostWire and share them when I can.

the stuff that EB recorded with Matisyn before he was asked to leave was just blah. half of the power in the songs is the instumentals, and they didn't have that power anymore. is his voice unique? sure. but there's already one deathcab for cutie, and that's the direction the band was going with matisyn

Man, it sucks that kevin was kicked out of Evans Blue. but at least he still makes music with his new band PARABELLE, which is awesome check em out, and his solo stuff is really good too.
