I heard of Robbie Williams in passing, but never listened to him B4. Played some of his songs tonight, but all of them seem so insipid, like everyone else really. But this song is unique, listened to it 20 times or more. The chorus is incredible, a confluence of powerful blues melody with full sustaining instruments and choir of singers. DANG

@y2koool maybe resignation. I think a case of being in love with someone, you really can't love anyone else, even if you try. But he sings about it as though it were possible, as though it might somehow mitigate the pain of being or feeling irrevocably pledged in your heart to a seemingly lost cause. If it were possible to love someone else like the one you truly love, then you might consider yourself to be finally free.
